Chapter 811: Ye Wenxin's Bold Move

Hearing Ye Wenxin's frustration, Xuan Luofei's spirits lifted. Ye Wenxin, looking resigned, began outlining her plan in detail.

She would pretend to be injured, hoping the beast hunters would capture her. Once inside, she would find the captive beasts and disable the defensive formation, allowing the red-footed snow monkey and its allies to stage a coordinated attack from outside.

"Zhu Zhu, don't push yourself too hard. Safety first," Xuan Luofei cautioned, while the other beasts wore complicated expressions, clearly having opinions about her advice.

Ye Wenxin's strength was evident to all but Xuan Luofei, who couldn't understand the beasts' language and was thus easier to fool.

"Alright, Elder Sister, I'm very careful with my life. Brother Snow Monkey, I entrust Elder Sister Xuan to you. If she loses even a hair, you know the consequences." Ye Wenxin smiled brightly, her grin laced with a subtle threat. The snow monkey shivered, nodding vigorously, assigning the ice bear to care for Xuan Luofei.

Seeing this, Ye Wenxin still felt uneasy, retrieving the umbrella sword from her Qiankun Bag. The sword spirit appeared, pleased to be summoned.

"Sword Spirit, protect Elder Sister Xuan."

Upon hearing Ye Wenxin's request to protect Xuan Luofei, the sword spirit's expression fell but agreed. Once again, Ye Wenxin chose to have it protect someone else rather than accompany her, which it begrudgingly accepted. Though jealous of the furballs, the sword spirit hid its feelings, greeting Xuan Luofei before returning to the umbrella sword.

With her sight impaired, Xuan Luofei's other senses were heightened. She caught the sword spirit's stiffness and couldn't help but ask.

"Zhu Zhu, does the sword spirit not like me?"

"It shouldn't be that. Spirits are proud by nature; it's like that with everyone," Ye Wenxin reassured, noticing nothing amiss herself. Xuan Luofei found it odd but, with more pressing matters, she let it go.

With everything settled, Ye Wenxin jumped off the platform, heading toward the camp. In the snowstorm, two men stood on a platform watching. As Ye Wenxin approached, the hunters grew wary.

They held crossbows, warning loudly as she drew near, "Panda, come any closer, and we won't be kind!"

The situation unfolded unexpectedly. Instead of welcoming her, the hunters barred her entry. Ye Wenxin paused, observing their anxious expressions.

Could it be her cuteness that softened them? Ye Wenxin thought with amusement. Seeing the hunters still watching, she rolled in the snow, trying to endear herself to them.

"What's with this panda?"

"Yeah, first time seeing a beast deliver itself. Doesn't it know where it is?"

They muttered, baffled by her foolishness. Her odd behavior made them cautious, fearing a hidden army of beasts might follow.

Who knew what battles the hunters had faced to be so paranoid? Ye Wenxin scanned for any traps she could use to her advantage.
