The relationship between Myles and Casey has subtly shifted over the past month. And while neither voices it out for confirmation, it was clear to anyone who observes the two that there's something going on between them.

Even so, Myles didn't mind whatever label they have between each other. Kahit nga friends lang tatanggapin niya, as long as she gets to hang around with Casey often. For her, the comfort that the latter brings for Myles acts like a magnet. It was something that she had never felt before from anyone.

Not only was she looking so pale and tired, madalas din itong atakihin ng mood swings. Like one time, pinagsabihan nila na 'wag siyang masyadong tumutok sa reviewers, which caused her to be irritated and told her friends na 'wag siyang pakialaman. The rest, she'd either be emotional or completely out touch with reality.

Out of all of them, si Myles ang pinaka-nag-aalala sa kanila. She knows how overly-focused Casey can be when it comes to her studies, pero this level of stress was different. It wasn't just about her acads anymore— parang may mabigat na dinadala si Casey na hindi niya magawang i-open kahit kanino.

While Casey's friends tries to give her some space, Myles decides to approach her with a brown paper bag in hand.

"Casey," Tawag niya rito bago umupo sa tabi nito at inilapag ang hawak niya sa table, "Why don't you take a break first? Alam kong important sa'yo 'yan, but please don't neglect your well-being for it."

Casey gave her a quick glance, her tired eyes could barely open to see Myles's figure. "I'm fine, Myles. Hindi ako pwedeng magpabaya."

"You look so pale, Casey. That's not 'fine'. Natutulog ka pa ba ng maayos?" Nag-aalalang tanong ni Myles.

But Casey clicked her tongue and just glared at her, "Okay nga lang sinabi ako! Pwede bang 'wag kang makulit ngayon?!" She unconsciously snapped at Myles.

Napalayo nang kaunti si Myles, surprised by the outburst. Usually, Casey would just brush her off o kaya naman makikipagbiruan pa sa kaniya. But this time, it's different. Ramdam na ramdam ni Myles ang frustration ni Casey, but also the amount of stress beneath it.

Myles let out a sigh, "Okay. I'm sorry..." She said, her voice ever so softly.

The response Casey received from Myles had caught her off guard, especially by the latter's tone. She glanced at Myles, her expression finally changing.

"Myles- sorry! Hindi ko sinasadya." Paghingi ng tawad ni Casey, her face visibly showing an apologetic look.

Pero imbis na umalis sa tabi niya, nginitian lang siya ni Myles, assuring her that it's fine. "Don't worry, naiintindihan ko. Do you, maybe, want to talk about it later? Makikinig ako. Basta try to take a break and eat something muna, okay?"

Casey, quite ashamed of her actions earlier, felt even more guilty now that Myles's didn't even got irritated with her, despite her outburst. Instead, inintindi siya nito.

Kaya naman, napabuntong-hininga siya't isinarado ang hawak niyang libro before speaking, "Pasensya na talaga, Myles. Pero okay lang ba na 'wag muna nating pag-usapan ngayon? I'll take a break and eat, kailangan ko na rin namang magpahinga."

Myles nodded, still keeping the smile on her face as she puts her hand on top of Casey's. "Sure. Ito oh, I brought you some coffee. Hati na lang din tayo sa lunch ko para hindi ka na bumili pa." She offered, pushing the paper bag in front of Casey.
