Myles fixed her hair for the nth time today. Ngayong araw kasi ang anniversary nila ng girlfriend niyang si Max, kaya naman panay ayos niya sa kaniyang sarili.
She's holding a bouquet of flowers in hand, excited to find out how her girlfriend's going to react even though this is technically their 5th year together.
However, medyo hesitant siya sa pag-surprise sa girlfriend niya ngayon. They've been in a quarrel for days now at hindi pa rin sila okay. This happened because Maximilian stood up on their date, not once but multiple times already. For that, they ended up having a misunderstanding and had been distant to each other for days.
But Myles decided to lower down her pride today. In her mind, deserve pa rin naman daw ni Max mabigyan ng special treatment, considering na ilang taon na niya siyang girlfriend.
Suddenly, a student approached her in panic.
"Myles! Myles! Diba girlfriend mo si Max?" Tanong sa kaniya nito.
"Huh? Yes. Why?" Nagtatakang tanong ni Myles.
"I just saw her kissing someone by the locker area. I thought it was you, pero ang feminine ng suot niya, kaya I figured out na hindi ikaw 'yon."
Myles's grip on the bouquet tightened. "You're... kidding, right? Prank ba 'to? Tapos surprise lang pala kasi anniversary namin? Hindi nakakatuwa, pre..." Myles tried to let out a laugh as her voice started lowering down the more she talks, trying to fight back tears from falling.
"See for yourself, Myles... I'm sorry."
Myles hurriedly went pass by the student, trying to convince herself that this was just all part of a set-up— that Max actually has a plan in store and she was just pranking her.
But what her eyes saw says otherwise. It really was none other than Max, passionately kissing someone she's unfamiliar with.
The bouquet that she's holding so tightly finally dropped on the ground, creating the soft sound of rustling petals that caught the attention of Max and her other girl.
"Myles..." Max mumbled out of shock.
"Max... why? How... h-how could you do this to me..?" Naguguluhang tanong sa kaniya ni Myles, her tears unconsciously falling down from her eyes. "On the day of our anniversary, too..."
"Myles, wait—"
Myles ignored Max and took the bouquet she dropped on the ground, throwing it harshly towards the latter.
"IYO NA 'YAN! IYO NA RIN 'YANG EXPLANATION MO!" Galit na galit na sigaw ni Myles. "TANGINA, MAX—! APAT NA TAON?! APAT NA TAON NA TAYO, NAGAWA MO PANG MAGLOKO?!"
"Myles, I'm sorry..."
"Tanginang sorry 'yan?! Do you really think that a mere apology would make me forgive you?! Hindi, Max! Hindi!"
"Let's talk..."
"Sa'yo na sinabi 'yang explanation mo! I don't think any explanation would validate how I saw you exchanging spits with someone else while you still have a fucking girlfriend."
Nanahimik na si Max dahil sa sinabi ni Myles. Alam niya rin namang walang patutunguhan kung ano pa man ang sabihin niya. Huli na siya sa akto; huli na siya sa kaniyang pagloloko.
Myles sent a deadly glare towards Max, her voice went dangerously lower as she let out her final words towards her now ex-girlfriend.
"Happy 5th anniversary, Max. Ito na rin ang huli."
