"What the hell is going on, Myles?" Alex, being Myles's roommate, questioned the tensed red-haired, groggy and mostly annoyed because she was woken up from her nap because of her friend. "Magpatulog ka naman. I'll be driving later, so I need to replenish my energy as much as possible."
"I'll let you go back to sleep if you help me out with my outfit first!" Myles exclaimed, not even glancing at Alex, as she continues to rummage through her bag.
"For what, exactly?" Tanong ulit sa kaniya ni Alex, getting out of bed. "What made someone you pile your clothes up on the bed as if a closet threw up on it?"
"Coffee. Casey. Date." Myles muttered like she lost her ability to construct words. Nanlaki naman ang mga mata ni Alex dito.
"Ha?! I thought ligawan stage pa lang kayo? Since when did you guys started dating?!" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Alex sa kaniya.
Myles sighed, finally pausing for a while to look at her friend. "It's not really a date-date... pero..."
Flashback
"Nagbago isip ko sa coffee. Gusto mong magkape later pagkahatid natin sa iba?"
Myles's mouth fell agape at what Casey said.
Nananaginip ba siya? Did Casey really just initiated a date-not-date with her?
"Tayong... tayong dalawa lang?" Myles questioned, asking for clarification.
"Ay, hindi, sama natin kapatid mo." Casey answered sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "Oo, tayong dalawa lang." She clarified, seriously this time.
Myles chuckled nervously, "Nabigla lang kasi ako. Bigla-bigla ka naman kasing nag-aaya. 'Di ko lang ine-expect..."
Casey raised a brow. "Na?"
"Na... magi-initiate ka..." Myles bit her lip, suppressing a smile. "So... is this a date?"
The confusion written on Casey's face grew, but she soon realized what Myles meant. Ah-
Casey shrugged. "Ikaw bahala kung pa'no mo ia-approach 'yung sinabi ko. Basta, later ah?"
"Sige..."
Flashback Ends
"So hindi ka lang pala tensionado, delusionado ka rin." Alex deadpanned. "Casey neither denied nor confirmed it, and here you are, tensed because of your assumption.
"Well, excuse me for savoring this... rare moment na hinintay ko lang naman for almost the whole semester?" Myles scoffed, unamused with Alex's comment. "Sana pala kay James na lang ako nagtanong, mas matino pa siyang kausap kaysa sa'yo."
"Kasi nga— you're making a big deal out of it."
"Kasi nga— this IS a big deal, Marquez. For me, at least." Myles snapped back.
Alex sat down on the edge of the bed, arms crossed. "Casey probably just wants to hang out. She does that if she really wants to get to know a person."
Myles stopped in front of the mirror, holding up two options for clothing. "T-shirt or hoodie?" Tanong niya as if hindi niya narinig ang sinabi ni Alex.
Alex rolled her eyes, but still responded. "Other options?"
"Pwede kong patungan ng coat..?" Myles suggested.
"Init-init sa Pinas, Myles." Alex shrugged. "Ewan ko sa'yo. Might as well. If you want to go all out for your... date-not-date, that is."
"Sa wakas, may nasabi ka ring maganda."
