Flashback

"Sunshine~! Look what I got here~!"

Myles turned at the sound of Max's playful voice, only to be greeted by a beautiful bouquet of fragrant flowers and a heart-shaped box of chocolates. Surprised, she quickly accepted the gifts.

"Hala, Max! Anong meron?" Agad na kinuwestiyon ni Myles ang isang taong nobya pa lamang niya na si Max matapos niyang matanggap ang mga 'di inaasahang regalo mula rito. "Ba't bigla kang may pagan'to?"

Max pouted slightly, acting sad by the fact that Myles's first reaction is happiness towards her gifts. "Do I need a reason to give you something special?" 

"Wait, no!" Depensa ka'gad ni Myles, afraid that she might've made Max upset and hurt her feelings, "I really appreciate all of this, Max! It's just... what's the occasion? Nakakagulat lang kasi na bigla mo 'kong binibigyan nito."

Max's frown turned into a smile, "Gusto ko lang, Myles. I just wanted to let you know that, whether there's an occasion or not, you deserve to be given something special." Paliwanag sa kaniya ni Max.

Myles felt her heart skip a beat at her girlfriend's words, fluttering as everything Max said started sinking into her system.

A whistle was heard from near them, breaking the moment, "Whew! Okay, lovebirds! Kayo na!"

Max chuckled at their friend's remark, "Maybe if you stopped being bitter, you'd actually get a girlfriend of your own, Alex." She responded before wrapping an arm around Myles, causing the latter's face to flush even more, if that's possible.

"No, thank you!"

For days, Myles started her flirting game towards Casey, determined to at least make the MedTech student attracted to her, with every opportunity she got.

Myles had been stepping up her game yet Casey still seemed to resist her charms. Myles was too tough to be discouraged, though— she wanted to make Casey notice her, to at least spark some kind of attraction, just to prove to her best friend that she could make anyone fall for her.

However, it seemed a bit tougher than Myles expected. Sobrang hirap na palingunin ni Casey sa direksiyon niya at makuha ang atensyon ng babae. Every time Myles tried to get closer, all she would ever receive from the girl was either getting shoved from the side, brushed off or getting ignored completely.

It was beginning to frustrate Myles so she had to step up her game even more.

"Casey~" Myles said in a sing-song voice. "I brought these for you."

Nag-abot si Myles ng bouquet of flowers at isang box ng ferrero rocher chocolate kay Casey, hoping to get at least one positive reaction from the latter as a sign of progress. Kaso, instead of taking it from her hands, tinignan lamang siya nito.

"Gagawin ko diyan?" Casey questioned.

Myles mentally huffed, trying to keep her cool as much as possible, "Kainin mo siguro pati 'yung flo— ay, este! I bought all of these for you. Don't you like it?"

"Una sa lahat, I don't like sweets. Pangalawa, nakikita mo nang andami kong textbook na dala tapos paghahawakin mo pa ko ng higanteng bouquet?"

Myles wanted to scratch her head out of frustration. Typically naman gumagana 'to sa ibang mga babaeng nilalandi niya, technically flirting skills and her usual charm pa nga lang niya sapat na eh. Tanging kay Casey lamang hindi umeepekto.
