Kinabukasan, Myles decided to finally execute her plan; to attract Casey, make her fall for her, dump her the second that happens, and win the bet with Jamie.
At anong matatanggap niya mula rito? A bigger ego, of course.
Wala namang ibang iniisip si Myles kundi ang mapa-ibig ang mga babae sa paligid niya, especially the feminine ones, and prove that girls would die just to be with her. OA man pakinggan but that's the truth.
She wants to feel wanted.
With that being said, despite the slight headache she feels from drinking too much again last night, she marched towards the locker area where she believes Casey and her friends were at at this hour.
Hindi naman siya nagkamali ng hula- Casey's by the lockers, taking some of her stuff out from inside, with Sky and Sheila just nearby, chatting with each other. Myles confidently approached them, stepping closer until she was face-to-face with Casey's locker's door.
Meanwhile, Casey and her friends were still unaware of Myles's presence. Masyado silang distracted sa pakikipag-usap sa isa't isa to notice her.
Casey took the last textbook that she needed, "Tara na, guys, nakuha ko na- AY PUTA!"
As she was supposed to shut her locker door close, biglang bumungad sa kaniya ang mukha at pustura ni Myles, who's currently leaning against the locker beside Casey's, kaya naman bigla siyang napatalon sa gulat, dropping some of the stuff she was holding on the ground. Same goes for Sky and Sheila.
Napahinga nang malalim si Casey to steady her breathing before yelling out at Myles, "Please lang, Myles, 'wag mo nang uulitin 'yon! Aatakihin kami sa puso dahil sa'yo!"
Myles bent down on one knee and picked up the things that Casey dropped, giving it to the latter before showing her signature smirk, "Sure ka bang dahil sa gulat? Or maybe your heart couldn't handle seeing such pretty face?"
Casey, along with Sky and Sheila who looked at Myles weirdly, gave the girl a look that says 'what in the actual fuck?'
Casey shook her head and seriously questioned Myles, "Excuse me? Pinagsasabi mo diyan? Nabagok mo ba ulo mo on the way dito?"
Myles chuckled at Casey's reaction, obviously not taking the comment seriously. She stood up straight and crossed her arms, "You're funny, Casey."
"Hintayin mo na lang muna ko maka-graduate ng master's degree at maging neurosurgeon para makita natin defect sa utak mo." Casey sarcastically remarked, making her friends snicker from the side, "Or 'di kaya high ka today? Seryoso, Myles, anong trip mo ngayon?"
"Nothing. Believe me, Casey. I just figured out na I wanted to get to know you better. Masama ba?" Myles asked, acting and sounding as genuine as possible.
"Ayun naman pala." Sky commented, whispering against Sheila's ear, "Mukhang may nangyayari na." She said, which the other completely agreed on.
"Masama kasi feel ko may iba kang intensyon kaya ka nakikipag-usap sa'kin ngayon." Sagot naman sa kaniya ni Casey, "Para ngang wala kang pakialam sa'kin noong kaka-transfer ko pa lang. So, bakit nagpapapansin ka sa'kin ngayon?"
"I told you, I wanted to get to know you better. And what do you mean na walang pakialam? You've caught my attention the moment you entered the room, Casey."
Nang sabihin 'yon ni Myles, ramdam ni Casey na pinaglalaruan lang siya nito. However, it almost sounds so sincere and convincing that it actually sent shivers down her spine.
Kaya naman, Casey scoffed and tried her best to dismiss the girl in front of her, "Uh... thanks, I guess? Sige na, Myles, kung ano mang kalokohan naiisip niyo ni Jamie, leave me out of it. I don't have time to play your stupid games."
With that, inaya ni Casey ang mga kaibigan niya na umalis na sa eksena para magpunta sa classroom nila, not wanting to be late for their first class, being the academically-conscious person she is.
Nang maiwan si Myles sa may locker area, ilang saglit lamang ay may lumapit sa kaniya. As expected, it was her best friend, Jamie.
Jamie puts an arm around Myles's shoulder, "Sabi sa'yo, par, hard to get 'yan. Hindi gagana mga simpleng flirting skills sa kaniya."
"Who says that's all I've got?" Myles smirked, "It'll be quite a challenge, James, but I'm confident na bibigay din siya soon. I'm just getting started."
"Just so you wait..."

"Myles tried to flirt with you?"
Katatapos lang ikwento ni Casey ang nangyari kanina kay Alex. The latter wasn't really surprised by this sudden news, and she at least expected it to happen, but it was sooner than she aticipated.
"Grabe, Alex, kung nando'n ka talaga makikita mo kung gaano ka-genuine 'yung mga sinasabi ni Myles kanina kay Casey." Sky added, "At least, that's what it sounds like. Alam naman natin na taliwas sa tono ng boses ni Myles 'yung totoong intensyon niya sa mga binibitawan niyang mga salita."
"That's true, Sky." Alex clicked her tongue out of annoyance, "Buti na lang talaga, Casey is unlike any other girls who fall for her. Kaibigan ko si Myles pero minsan talaga ang sarap niyang kaltukan sa bungo."
"Pero, Casey, knowing Myles, hindi ka niyan titigilan hangga't hindi ka nafa-fall sa kaniya. Kukulitin ka nang kukulitin niyan." Paalala ni Sheila sa kaniya.
"Edi mangulit lang siya, I don't care." Casey rolled her eyes, showing no interest at their current topic at all. "I have no plans on entertaining her kaya magsawa siya diyan."
Alex chuckled, clearly satisfied with Casey's response, "That's what I thought. Don't worry, I'll make sure to keep her away from you as much as I can."
Casey shook her head, "Don't bother, Lex, she's not worth your time. Ako na bahala since kaya ko naman siyang tapatin."
Matapos sabihin 'yon ni Casey ay natahimik na silang apat- hanggang sa magsalita muli si Alex.
"I'm kind of curious, though." Panimula niya, "Si Max, 'yung ex niya, siya 'yung nanligaw kay Myles before. Tapos first girlfriend pa ni Myles si Max. So, I'm wondering... how would Myles attempt to make you swoon?"
"Again; I don't know, I don't care." Casey answered. "Kung ano mang trip nila ni Jamie, sana ibahin na lang nila target nila. Wala silang mapapala sa'kin."
"Well, whatever she's planning, we know it's not going to work on Casey." Sheila commented, "Ibahin niyo siya sa mga babaeng nagkakandarapa kay Myles."
"Exactly," Sunod ni Sky sa kaniya, "Akala niya siguro lahat ng babae nahuhulog sa mga ganyang banat. Uhaw na uhaw kay Myles eh jusko."
Casey sighed, "Trust me, guys. I have no interest whatsoever kahit kanino, lalo sa kanilang dalawa- sila Myles at Jamie. Kung magjojowa man ako, hindi ko sisimulan sa kanila."
Alex chuckled and, unconsciously, wrapped an arm around Casey's shoulder before, again unconsciously, muttering, "That's my girl."
Biglang natahimik silang tatlo sa sinabi ni Alex. It even took Alex a good minute to realize what she just said and did.
Para bang nakuryente si Alex sa paghawak kay Casey by how fast she retrieved her arm from its hold. Hindi malaman nila Sky at Sheila kung namumula ba si Alex sa hiya or because of something else.
On the other hand, Casey look so stunned. Never did she expected to happen what Alex said and did earlier. Hindi niya tuloy malaman kung ano ire-react niya.
Alex cleared her throat and immediately apologized, "S-sorry..."
That's when Casey fell out of her trance, "Ha? Ay, no worries, Lex. Ikaw talaga, you love saying ridiculous stuff."
"Right..." Alex chuckled awardly.
Tahimik lang silang pinagmasdan nina Sky at Sheila, pero madalas silang napapatingin sa isa't isa as if they already know what's on each other's mind.
"Shei, crispy patata?" Bulong ni Sky kay Sheila, which the latter nodded at, immediately getting what the message meant.
"Crispy patata." Sheila responded.
"...may something..."
