Chapter 17 -

"Rescue me?" I said stupidly. Why were they going to rescue me? I was on my own mission and I didn't need them messing it up. I glanced down at the knife that was still near my neck and frowned.

"Can you put that thing down before you hurt somebody?" Harry looked down and luaghed.

"Sure." He said putting it back into his jean pocket.

"Why are you rescuing me?" I wondered and Rich frowned.

"Because you don't belon here Alex, you belong back home with us. With your family."

"No i don't. I belong here! This is my home Rich. Back with you guys, i am weak and here i can be strong and do what i do best. Save lives."

"But your not saving lives Alex. The agency is planning on killing you. We sent some people in under cover earlier and they couldn't find your file. It was missing." Harry glanced around worriedly. Those people were gonna rescue me and i stole the files making them think that i was dead? Damn! I was so stupid.

"No they're not gonna kill me idiot. I'm back where i belong." I hissed, i couldn't let them see that i knew where the file was and that Rich was standing right above them.

"Yes they are Alex! You're file was missing! That means that they are gonna kill you." Rich came over and shook my shoulders.

"We can't let you die!"
"I'm not gonna die stupid. I'm the best there is so the agency is not going to kill me and you need to leave now!" I said pushing them towards my now open window.

"We are not going anywhere without you Alex." Harry said stubbornly and i sighed. Why did they have to be so difficult.

"Well you have to because if they see you in here with me then i am deffinatenly dead and so are you." I said through my teeth glancing at the clock. Shit! Lucy and the others were going to be here any minute and if they saw Harry and Rich, they would think that i was setting them up.

"You have to go now." I growled but they dug their heels in.

"Not without you." They said in unison and we all froze when there was a knock at my door.

"Hey Alex, can i come in?" Lucy's muffled voice came through the door and my body went cold.

"Just a minute." I called and shoved Harry and Rich closer to the window.

"Go now!" I whispered and they just looked at me.
"Please for your sake and mine. I promise that i will call you soon, but you have to leave or we will all be dead." I said panicked and finally they got it into their thick skulls that they had to go. They both kissed me on the cheek and ducked out my window. I hoped for their sake that they got out undetected. I huffed and ran to the door and pulled it open to find Lucy and the others waiting there impatiently.

"What took you so long?" Lucy demanded as she walked into my appartment along with the others.
"Sorry. I had to make sure that there were no camera's or anything so you guys didn't get into trouble." That wasn't technially a lie as i had checked the appartment for camera when i came back. It was clear. Lucy seemed to buy the lie thank heavens.
