Chapter 13 -

I went straight to my first class and was scared, and was excited. It was my first day as a normal person with no jobs. I had to introduce myself and was glad when i got to sit down as i couldn't say that my hobbies were killing people. The lessons whizzed by and was surprised when break came around. I walked accross the grounds and found Rich and Harry sat at a table full of people and they were arguing. I smiled to myself and walked over and laughed as they argued.

"No. I'm a better fighter then you." Rich growled.

"No. I am." Harry growled back. The people around them were looking slightly worried by their arguing so i decided to save my brothers from ending in a fight. I leaned down between them, they seemed surprised to see me and i grinned hugely.

"And we all know that I'm the best fighter here." I chuckled and they shut up. Ha, in their face.

"I doubt that." A voice said from behind and we all looked at a guy who was standing a few yards away leaning against a tree, i felt my blood boil and was vaugely aware of Harry gripping my arm.

"Alex. Sit down, he is not worth it." Rich whispered and Dean grinned. He must have heard that.

"It's nice to see you Alex." He dropped the grin and gave me a genuine smile and i shuddered.

"You are not welcome here." I said in a cold voice and Dean seemed surprised.

"Aww, don't be like that Alex. I wanted to tell you but i couldn't and by the way thanks for hitting me the other night. I have a wicked bruise." He turned his head slightly and i saw a huge purple bruise that covered most of cheek. I was glad that i hit him with the gun, it would teach him a lesson.

"You deserved that and why are you challenging me Dean?" I demanded.

"Challenging?" Dean replied.

"By saying that you are the better fighter. You know that i would take you in seconds." I shifted into a defense position and Dean grimaced and looked at Harry and Rich.

"She hasn't adapted has she? You should have left her there, she has it drilled into her." My temper was raging and how dare he talk as if i was not there.

"Dean, if you respect your life i suggest that you get as far as you can away from me." I said in a low voice but the other people behind still heard it and gasped.

"She is as badass as she said." A heard someone mutter and Rich chuckled.

"I know." He replied and i almost smiled.

"Why should i move away?" Dean asked bringing my attention back to him.

"Because if you don't move I'm gonna smash your face." I said not bothering to lower my voice. I heard the people behind me tittering between themselves debating whether there was gonna be a fight or not. Dean looked surprised.

"I'm really sorry Alex. I thought that we could start again and i will tell you everthing that you want to know. I promise but please give me a chance." I was shocked. When i had first met Dean, he was one of the best out there and never showed his emotions to anyone but me. Now he was a different person, it was like someone had thrown a switch inside him and made him vunrable. Would that happen to me? It seemed wrong, too vunrable. I didn't wanna be weak. Dean misread my hesitation and took a step towards me and then i snapped to reality. I would not be weak and be like Dean. It would get me killed or even worse, heartbroken and i had done that before. Dean frowned and looked confused.

"What's wrong?" He asked and i shook my head.

"You're not the same." I whispered. He frowned again.
