ARIELLA MAYBANK sat on a large swing that was attached to the trunk of a sturdy oak tree. The sun beams down on her beautifully, casting a warm glow on her skin, while a cool breeze gently tousled her hair. She listens intently to the rhythmic sound of the waves crashing against the shore, a melody that brought her peace. As she softly swung back and forth, Spike, their beautiful golden doodle, laid next to her with his head resting in her lap.
Her fingers lazily brush through his soft fur, and her eyes occasionally drifting from the sleeping puppy to the picturesque scene ahead of her.
A few feet away, JJ was in the middle of the water, holding a small surfboard steady. On the surfboard was, Cora Lynn, who was almost two years old. The little girl happily clung to her father, her laughter mixing with the sound of the waves.
JJ's strong arms supported her, his face lit up with joy as he guided the board back towards the shore.
"Look at you, princess! You're a natural, way better than me." JJ exclaims, his voice filled with pride.
"Really, Dada?!" Cora Lynn beams at her mother at his words and as they drew closer. She calls out to her, her voice high-pitched and full of excitement. "Mama, you see me?"
Ariella's heart swelled with love as she grinned at the love's of her life. "I see you, sweetheart! You're doing amazing!"
Ariella couldn't help but marvel at how naturally JJ had taken to fatherhood. Every time she watched him with Cora Lynn, her heart swelled with pride and love.
JJ was patient and kind, always knowing how to make their little girl laugh, even on her grumpiest days. He had a special way of turning the simplest moments into magical memories.
Like when he would lift Cora Lynn onto his shoulders and parade around the yard, pretending to be a mighty steed, or when he would sit with her for hours, building sandcastles on the beach, each one more elaborate than the last.
JJ's dedication to their daughter was unwavering.
He would read her bedtime stories with animated voices, making each character come alive, and he never missed an opportunity to teach her something new.
Whether it was showing her how to surf or teaching her how to look after Spike, JJ was always there, guiding and supporting her with endless patience.
Ariella often found herself smiling as she watched them together, feeling incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful life partner.
JJ's love for Cora Lynn was evident in every action, every word, and every tender look.
It was in the way he brushed her hair gently before she went to bed, the way he encouraged her to be brave and curious, and the way he always made time for her, no matter how busy life got.
He was giving her the life he never had growing up.
Seeing JJ as a father made Ariella fall in love with him all over again, deeper than she ever thought possible.
As the father and daughter duo reach the shore, the little girl scrambles off the board and ran towards Ariella, her tiny feet kicking up sand. She threw herself into her mother's arms, giggling with delight.
Ariella hugs her tightly, feeling the warmth of her daughter's embrace and the comforting presence of Spike beside her. In that moment, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the love of her family, Ariella felt truly content.
JJ and Cora Lynn join her on the swing, with Cora Lynn snugged in between them. JJ leaned over to peck Ariella's lips, making Cora Lynn let out a giggle.
