The Weasleys had spent a majority of the night pacing Dumbledore's office, each one either processing their emotions or spewing out fragments of a plan to save Ginny.
Molly continued to sob against Arthur, all while simultaneously pulling her children close to her as a way to reassure her that the boys were all safe. The sounds of their mother's cries unnerved the boys, who had grown used to her fretting, but had never heard her in so much despair.
"Percy, do you know anything about the chamber?" Fred asked.
"No," Percy responded disappointingly. "All I know is what McGonagall told us."
The not knowing was the worst part of it all. With Dumbledore and the other professors out looking for Ginny, all the Weasleys could do was pace the headmaster's office and wait.
Some time during the fiasco, however, Harry and Ron managed to slip away. The two had been whispering to each other ever since Dumbledore had broken the news to them and had set off to find Ginny on their own.
Fred had suggested to George that the two of them try to find Ginny using the Marauder's Map, but George quickly pointed out that they hadn't been able to locate the chamber on the map before.
"Well, it's worth a shot," Fred said, turning his back to their family. He pulled the map out from his pocket and muttered, "I solemnly swear I am up to no good."
As usual, there was no indication of a secret chamber anywhere on the map. The twins shared a sigh and stored the map away.
"It's a dud," Fred grumbled.
There had been no progress or updates in the retrieval of the youngest Weasley child until Fawkes, Dumbledore's phoenix, let out a loud song-like noise and flew out of the room. It was soon after his disappearance that Professor McGonagall came bursting back into the room.
"Harry, Ron, and Ginny have returned to the hospital wing," she said, causing the remaining Weasleys to scramble.
"Ron?" Percy questioned, doing his best to keep up with his family's long and quick strides.
"He must have gone off with Harry," Fred responded hastily. "Ronniekins saving the day again."
"We've got to step it up, Fred," George added, both twins relieved that they would not have to deal with another casualty. The one attack on Y/N was enough; they didn't want their sister to be petrified or worse, killed, by the same creature.
As soon as the family reached the hospital wing, they rushed towards Ginny's bedside. The young girl was much paler than usual and her skin was cold to the touch, but she was mostly unharmed and, more importantly, alive.
Having made sure that Ginny would recover swiftly, Molly and Arthur turned towards Harry and Ron, thanking the two for saving their daughter, though Ron also received a scolding about how dangerous it was for him to go searching for her without an adult.
"She hasn't seemed to suffer any lasting injuries," Madam Pomfrey informed the family. "Though she will likely have some psychological issues that you'll need to work through."
Molly and Arthur nodded before thanking her as well.
"And I've just received word that the mandrakes are in ripe condition, Mr. Weasley," she continued, turning her attention to George now. "Professor Sprout sends her gratitude and Professor Snape is working on the potions right now."
George nodded, feeling a large weight lift off his shoulders. It had been months since he last heard his friend speak and with his sister now out of commission for at least a couple of days, he was glad to hear that two of the most prominent women in his life would be making a full recovery.
