A few days have passed and it's now mid-October. The weather's good. Not too hot but not too cold either. The crisp air carries the promise of a lovely autumn. And the warm colors are slowly making their way on the trees. Since the beginning of the year, Jude has insisted on picking me up from home every morning — even though I've told him countless times that it isn't necessary considering the fact he literally lives near college. But that man is as stubborn as they come. His head's probably made out of rock.

Lately though, I've wanted to walk to college, so I can finally take a look at my surroundings. I did a few times already, when Jude and I weren't starting at the same time and I can tell for sure that I enjoy these solitary moments. I didn't have this chance growing up. Not the chance to appreciate those little pleasures. So I'm taking it now. Sure, it's not like I was locked up in our house and couldn't get outside, but I rarely ventured out ; except for one moment when I could do it : watch the sunset. In London however, catching a clear sunset was harder. The city's reputation for gloomy skies and frequent rain isn't a myth. Thankfully during summer, it's another story. And truthfully, the sunsets here feel like a gift. Great fiery colors in the sky. A true masterpiece. It made me feel like I should watch one with Jude. I thought it'd be a great idea for a date. And when it happened, it was !

Thinking about Jude and his ideas makes me laugh. He just thought to himself that it might be a good idea to drive 10 minutes or so, park his car in front of Sofia's and I apparement and walk with me to college. Well, he lasted one week. After this, it was way too complicated with his schedule, which I completely understand. He needed to get back to his car, because of his gear bag, and then again, to the rink.

He's already working his ass off and I don't want to tire him more than needed.

I already do it plenty at night...

But sometimes, he's happy to make the sacrifice and join me for a walk in the evening,  when he's not too worn out. We'd watch the sunset and grab something to eat afterward. Each time it happens, I find myself falling a little bit more in love with him.

So, everything's good between Jude and me. Sure, we fight sometimes but it's always over silly things. And when we make up, it feels even better, like we're closer than ever.

Autumn season also marks the approach of Thanksgiving. I still have time until then but.. I want to talk to Jude about something. Yesterday, I had dinner at Matthew's place. Ever since he found out about my relationship with Jude, he's been casually dropping few informations about his girlfriend — her age, how long they've known each other, her hair color and many things like that...It'd come during casual conversations. So I know he's doing it on purpose.

I just don't know her name yet and I didn't pressure him to know it. But yesterday he surprised me when he told me he finally wanted me to meet her. And he talked about having dinner together for Thanksgiving. I asked if I could bring Jude with me, so it'd be a double date. Obviously, Matthew agreed. So now, all I gave to do is talk to Jude about it.

Real simple

But the thing is, tomorrow's the weekend and the team has a game against the Colorado Avalanche . Actually he will be away for the next two weeks. He's leaving this afternoon and I'm not sure if this is a conversation I should have with him today. I want his head to be in the game and Thanksgiving isn't until late November, so clearly there's plenty of time.

So, I don't know why I'm so afraid to ask him to come and celebrate Thanksgiving with us. It's not a big deal, I'm not asking to him to marry me or anything. I tossed and turned last night, trying to find a way to bring it up. Everything in our relation had moved faster than we both expected. But I like where we are. Still, it seems like a big deal, asking him to spend Thanksgiving with me. I want to wait at least until he plays his first game tomorrow.
