Natalia felt as if she was falling for years. So many things had come back. Going to camp half-blood. Meeting Leanne. Her sister's death. Running away. The Labyrinth. The war. Meeting Camp Jupiter. Hazel. Tartarus. It all was back.
She closed her eyes and remembered the last war. She saved Leanne.
More monsters were closing in and everyone was in a panic. They needed time, people were wounded and were going to die in a matter of seconds if the next wave of monsters weren't slowed.
Leanne stepped forward, exhausted, but determined. Her hands glowed and she dug her feet into the ground. She raised her hands and created a large shield in front of the monster.
People around her gasped and grabbed the wounded off of the ground and ran them to safety. Leanne was shaking and tears were falling out of her eyes at a rapid pace.
She didn't care, she just wanted everyone to get away. The monsters were throwing themselves at the shield, trying to break it. The pounded and pounded and Leanne was sliding along the ground, trying to keep herself steady, but her arms wavered and her magic was fading.
Natalia was helping get people away, she had just arrived with her father, brother, and two goddesses to help. She saw Leanne and didn't even think before she sprinted over.
Her legs carried her across the battlefield and the moment she came in contact with the girl, the shield released and Natalia shadow traveled them away from the monsters.
The demi-gods who were ready charged forward and went swinging into the group of monsters.
Natalia gasped as she opened her eyes back up. She could feel the wind around her and looked up to see Leanne and Nico both diving for her. She turned her body towards the ground and screamed, "ARESTO MOMENTUM!" All three came to a complete stop, inches above the ground before face planting.
Natalia took a second, but pushed herself up and turned to look at two of the most important people in her life. "Nico?" She questioned as Nico brushed himself off. He smiled at her as they both scrambled to get up. She pulled him into the tightest hug she had given him since they got out of Tartarus.
She pulled away and looked at her best friend, tearing up, "I thought you were dead!" She pulled Leanne into a bone crushing hug and Leanne laughed with tears in her eyes and hugged her back.
"Hey, we have a war to win, remember?" Nico laughed and Natalia's face fell.
"I did this."
Leanne quickly shook her head, "no, you didn't know what you were doing, my mother was evil and this never should've happened, if you blame yourself, I'll beat you up!" Natalia covered her mouth before she started laughing.
"Okay, but we should definitely go!" She fist bumped both of them before running back into the line of fire.
The first person she came across was Neville. He looked at her scared and sympathetic and raised his wand. "DUCK!" She yelled and he did as she said and she shot at a Death eater behind him.
"What the hell?" Neville asked, raising his hand.
She smiled at him, "Sorry Nev, I'm not with them anymore, I promise." Neville smiled so widely it looked like he was going to break his face.
"Glad you're back, Nat, I'll see you later?" He asked and Natalia nodded before they both ran off in different directions.
Natalia saw Greyback running to attack Lavender and she shot her wand out, sending him flying down the side of the cliff and away from being seen by anyone again. Lavender gasped and turned around to see the Death Eater that saved her. Natalia nodded and Lavendar did the same back, watching the girl run away.
