Natalia had packed to go back to Hogwarts and floated her trunk into the living room. She was met with Camilla. "Okay, so, if anything goes wrong and you need to leave for any reason, let us know," she told the 16 year old.

Natalia nodded and Blaise came running down the stairs with his trunk. "I'm not looking forward to going back," he rolled his eyes. He was wearing darker clothes than he normally did. He was wearing a very dark green suit and tucked his wand into his jacket.

"Well too bad," Natalia sighed, before turning to Camilla, "apparating to the station?" Said woman nodded.

She walked over to the table where Delia was coloring, "be good for your father." Delia nodded.

"Okay, mommy." Camilla kissed her daughter's head and walked back to the two teenagers.

"Let's go before you're late for the train," she told them and both grabbed one of her arms. The twisting sensation came and went quickly as they arrived at King's Cross. Camilla turned to the two and fixed Blaise's jacket and Natalia's hair. "Have a good year, don't forget, tell us if you need anything." Camilla remembered their age and being at war, it wasn't a fun time and she really didn't want them to be going back.

Natalia gave her a smile, "we'll be fine," she promised and Blaise gave his step-mother a hug before they both departed to join the train. They loaded their trunks into the cars and went to the seventh year compartments. They were kind of like a communal thing, like a dining car on a regular train.

There were a lot of Slytherins who came back, several Gryffindors came back, without the added inclusion of the golden trio. She saw Seamus Finnagan and Neville Longbottom and Ginny with Luna and Collin when she walked in. They were steering clear of most of the Slytherins.

Natalia noticed that the train seemed emptier than it usually did, it used to have plenty of 2-6th years running around, but now, it seemed to be mostly 1st years.

She sat down with Blaise, Pansy, and Daphne. The train set off and the four weren't really speaking to each other. They hadn't much since they all got the mark. Natalia was busy with stuff for the Dark Lord.

She was torturing people, and she found that she was good at it. With her having umbrakinesis, she was special and it terrified people. She could leave them in darkness for days or choke them with it.

The rest were dealing with family affairs. It had been hard to be friends at a time like this, but they were still together. "Is Draco coming back?" Daphne asked.

Pansy nodded, "Yeah, his parents are forcing him too, the dark lord as well." He made it mandatory for all of them to continue their education, which Natalia didn't learn until now. "He's somewhere else on the train with Theo, Crabbe, and Goyle. Didn't want to see all the people here."

Suddenly, the train came to a lurching stop. Natalia looked around confused. It wasn't long before several Death Eaters boarded the train, looking through every compartment. One of them walked into the car, everyone was still and silent. Until Neville stood up, "hey losers, he's not here," he told them.

All the Death Eater did was huff and turned around, walking out of the train car. A few minutes later and all of them could feel the train moving forward. "They were looking for Potter," Blaise stated the obvious and the other three nodded.

"Do you wanna see what I got in my letter this year?" Natalia asked them and they looked over. Blaise was confused, he was there when she got the letter and she didn't say anything. She slowly took something out of her pocket and laid a pin on the table. It was a green and gold pin with the title 'Head Girl' on it. Pansy and Daphne gasped.

"Oh my merlin, how?" Daphne asked, picking it up. "Only prefects can become heads!" Pansy took over examining it.

Natalia looked guilty for a second, but shook herself out of it, "well, things are changing, guess Snape needed someone he could trust, probably made Draco or Theo head boy." Pansy nodded before handing it back and Natalia placed it back in her pocket.

This was going to be an interesting year.

The atmosphere stepping into Hogwarts for the new year was horrible. There were curses around all entrances and exits and dementors surrounding the castle, sucking all the happiness from everyone. All the teachers looked rugged and depressed and the year hadn't even started yet. There were also two new additions, the carrow twins. Snape, who was now seated in the middle and highest place where Dumbledore once sat, held a harsher glare than he normally did.

Natalia sat down with everyone and glanced around the room. Most of the tables were empty.

The most were held by Slytherin and Gryffidnor with most of them either being fourth years or seventh years. None of the other houses could even glance at a Slytherin without a disgusted look or a glare.

It felt like an even longer wait for the first years to walk in. McGonagall opened the doors and led them in. They didn't look around in wonder like past years had. They looked terrified, some looked like they were about to cry. Unlike when Natalia started, the sky wasn't enchanted, they didn't have the floating candles and the house point hourglasses had been removed.

One by one, the first years were sorted, each one shivering as they stepped off the stool and joined their house. When they were all sorted, Snape snapped his fingers and food appeared on the tables.

No one was quite eager to dig in, but eventually people started grabbing for food. The food tasted the same as it always had, but it held a bitterness that was most likely in Natalia's head.

It was awkward, the hall didn't hold the same constant excited chatter like it was supposed to, it had small quiet whispers and mostly silence that could go on forever.

It was a painful hour or maybe more until Snape stood up. "Welcome back," he drawled out, staring at everyone with a cold look. "This year, there will be a few changes. As you will have noticed, we have two new teachers, Professors Carrow and Carrow. Alecto will be teaching the new Muggle studies curriculum that will now be mandatory for everyone." Natalia looked at her friends confused, why would muggle studies be mandatory? "Amycus, will be teaching a new class, also mandatory, Dark Arts." His cold look then turned to a glare. "Some new rules, robes shall be worn at all times, no exceptions, there will be weekly dorm checks, if a teacher wishes to question or search you they have the absolute right, if you are caught out of bed after hours Professors Carrows and the new Head boy and girl will be in charge of your punishment." He gestured to the Slytherin table and both Theo and Natalia stood up for a few seconds before sitting back down. "If someone gets wind that another student is apart of something they shouldn't be, immediately report it, if you do not comply to the new rules in place, if you don't follow instructions provided by teachers, or otherwise do unruly things you may be subjected to any punishment they see fit including suspension and expulsion."

"Finally, there will be no more Hogsmeade visits on the weekends, goodnight," he said, finishing his speech. No one moved for a minute until the heads of houses, McGonagall, Slughorn, Flitwick, and Sprout got up to lead the first years to the common rooms since they didn't have any designated prefects for each house this year.

Natalia slowly stood up from the bench and walked down to the dungeons, passing the first years who all backed away from her like they would burn if they accidentally brushed against her.
