Getting back from Christmas was interesting. The train was even more empty than it had been even though barely anyone stayed at Hogwarts for Christmas.

Everyone had heard what happened to Luna Lovegood, she was taken as soon as she had stepped off the train in King's Cross because of what her father had been saying in the quibbler.

Natalia had trugged to McGonagall's class. It was less about transfiguration and more about how to avoid punishment and the carrows.

She made sure to avoid saying too much around the Slytherins, but was sure bad mouthing the new found punishment and management in Hogwarts.

Natalia sat down in her seat and was just looking around the newly bland room. She grabbed her wand and transfigured a feather into a smaller bird to fly around the room. Today was January 28th, her birthday.

She felt lost, the war wasn't coming to an end anytime soon. There had been no sightings of Harry or the rest of the trio and at the end of this year she was supposed to be taking NEWTS and then getting a job.

She didn't want one, she wasn't ready to be sent out into the world and be a person. She made the bird land back on her desk as McGonagall walked over to her. "Nice transfiguration, wordless and without mistake." Natalia nodded.

"Thank you, professor," she said, monotone. Not only was she feeling empty because of the war, but she was having to deal out punishments to people. Mostly she was sending them to detention with Slughorn or McGonagall, no one liked having anything to do with the Carrows, let alone detention.

McGonagall nodded back to her and walked throughout the room, watching everyone work on their assignments. Neville was talking to Seamus about something, probably about Luna, they were pretty worried about her.

Neville looked ready to attack someone and his wand lit up with red sparks. "I'm going to kill the Carrows!" He shouted, slamming his hands on his desk.

Natalia closed her eyes tightly. She really didn't want to have to do anything. She looked over at Theo who gestured for them to get up. She pushed herself out of her seat and away from her desk. "Hey, Longbottom!" He looked a little scared, but stared at her directly in the eyes. She put her wand on the desk and instead slapped him across the face.

It made an auditory smack and he grabbed his face in pain, "don't say something like that again," she warned him as she looked at Theo who had his wand pointed at Seamus to keep him from doing anything.

The snow quickly melted and Spring came and so did Easter, which meant more students gone, with specific notice of Ginny Weasley. Dumbledore's army messages stopped coming as the Carrows were paying an extra close watch on Neville.

What was even more concerning though was that kids were disappearing. They weren't in their common rooms and most teachers couldn't find them, but then they would show up to their classes when they wanted.

Natalia and Theo were tasked with following them, but somehow they always got away, which got both of them punished by the Carrows heavily.

Seamsu and Neville were the first ones to start disappearing, it was after Amycus had beat the shit out of Neville and then Seamus defended him. Soon, it was becoming a weekly occurrence for them to say something, get hit, then go missing for a while.

They were going somewhere, but they couldn't find it inside of the castle and all the secret passageways were sealed at the beginning of term.

Today, Theo was patrolling the dungeons so that the kid down there didn't escape. Recently, kids were now being held longer and longer and people were trying to stage rescues.
