The Economics Moon... Becoming the Campus Moon.

Forth closed his eyes tightly for a moment as he heard the announcement. His companions merely sighed.

Kongpob started walking towards Forth followed by his gang. He didn't even wait for the conclusion. He walked past Forth, slapping his shoulder a little harder.

Kongpob expected the punishment to be carried out.

Forth just nodded as his gang glanced back at Kongpob's gang.

The Engineering students blinked at Beam, who received the Runner Up prize along with Prae, who received the top prize, but just like Kongpob, the second and third-year students walked out of the auditorium.

The first-year students exchanged glances with each other. They knew what awaited Beam.

Beam maintained his smile while on stage.

And as he walked towards Forth and his gang after the night ended, he still kept his polite smile. "I'm sorry, P'Forth."

Forth looked at Beam with an unreadable expression. "See you on the field tomorrow."

Beam nodded.

Forth walked away with his friends, not waiting for Beam's friends who were walking towards them.

Phana, Kit, Wayo, and Ming carried the roses and gifts that Beam received.

Beam sighed and looked at them with a smile.

"You got the Campus Moon title, making you the Runner Up, it should be okay, right?" Kit asked with concern.

Beam laughed.

Ming looked at Beam with worry too, but she didn't say anything.

Posh, Wai, and other new students just nodded at Beam from afar. They would see Beam tomorrow on the field.

.....................

"I'm sorry, P'Forth," Beam said again as they had breakfast together the next day.

Forth smiled. "You got the Runner Up prize. Just like I did. You did well."

"Not good enough." Beam said softly. "I'm sorry, I disappointed you."

Forth patted Beam's head. "That's enough, N'Beam. It's good." He smiled affectionately.

Beam took a deep breath. "Do you think it would have been better for me if I had just written a poem?"

Forth laughed. "I don't think you would have even gotten the Runner Up prize with that."

"Oh." Beam looked down at his breakfast. "Sorry..." He said it again.

"It's okay. Maybe the judges didn't pick you because technically, you're a third-year student. Maybe they just wanted real freshmen. It's our fault for pushing all of this onto you. It's okay, N'Beam, you did well."

Beam looked at Forth. "Will you have trouble from P'Kongpob because of me?"

Forth chuckled softly. "Let me worry about that."
