Untalented Moon

The atmosphere was peaceful.

Forth kept monitoring Beam's progress every moment they had breakfast together, sharing the days they had been through.

They laughed at how the freshmen made everything about them as a couple after the confession video, a picture of P'Forth's signature saying he loved N'Beam also during SOTUS, and then the image of Moon wooing Moon during the perfect Moon Training.

With Posh and Wai still invisible to them.

With Irin and Prae somehow agreeing to keep the ForthBeam vibe alive.

With Kongpob beginning to step back from Forth's path to do his job.

With Ming focusing on helping Phana with the Moon Training.

Peaceful.

And then suddenly Phana walked to the Faculty of Engineering. Walking on the edge of the SOTUS field and then stopping near the orientation team's tent, waiting for Forth so he could hand over the invitation he brought for Forth himself.

Phana listened to Beam. One year was long enough for friends not to talk to each other.

Even when Park was on guard, the freshmen knew something was wrong. But boy! That guy was super handsome!

Lam, who had just returned from the bathroom, stopped his steps near the tent before joining his team on stage. "Can I help you with something, Ai'Pha?" He asked. He was sitting in the front row when he saw the man in front of him stepping away from Forth. He broke Forth's heart by having the man he loved.

Forth wasn't the same since then. He lost twice to the same person.

Phana smiled at Lam. "I need to give something to Ai'Forth."

"I can deliver it to him."

Phana shook his head. "... And talk too."

Lam swallowed. "Okay then." Paused. "We'll be done in just 10 minutes."

Phana nodded. He was still smiling.

Shortly after, Forth finished SOTUS and walked up to Phana. "They said you were looking for me?"

Phana looked at Forth. He nodded. He smiled awkwardly and reached out his hand to give Forth the invitation for the Final night next week. "Invitation for the Final night, for the Campus Moon runner-up."

Forth blinked. He looked at the hand handing over the invitation. If it was just an invitation, Ming could have given it to him. He knew there was something else.

Forth took it from Phana's hand. "Thank you," he said.

Phana nodded.

Silence.

A super awkward silence.

Forth blinked.
Phana did too.

"Uhm... Maybe we can grab a drink together again, sometime." Phana said.

Forth was surprised. "Really?"
