Beam's video declaring his love for Forth went viral on Instagram.
Beam treated it as a joke by adding a photo of Forth's response to his signature book.
Phana and Kit exchanged glances, while Ming tried to avoid Phana's gaze, clearly feeling guilty for not doing his job properly. Wayo, on the other hand, was overjoyed.
And then, on Sunday, Beam suddenly moved out.
"Beam... Think about this first..." Kit tried to stop Beam from packing his things, but Beam hastened his movements. He even got help from his two new friends from the Engineering department.
"P'Beam, I'll take care of your books," Wai said, starting to pack the books into boxes. "But these are medical books, why are you packing them?"
"Just put them in the box, I'll sell them," Beam said.
"No, don't sell them. Just leave them there!" Kit shouted. She had just called Phana so that the jerk could help her bring Beam back to his senses. "I'll use your books!"
"You can't use them for free. These are expensive books," Beam protested.
"I'll buy them from you!" Kit shouted in distress. Just then, Phana arrived.
"Damn, what's going on here?!" Phana yelled at Beam.
"Beam, you have more clothes than Wai and I combined." Posh shook his head as he tossed Beam's clothes into a box.
"Posh! Don't throw them! It will cause wrinkles!" Beam yelled at Posh.
Posh stared at Beam unimpressed and then threw more clothes into the box, even pressing them down to make them more wrinkled, glaring back at Beam, as if challenging him to do something.
Beam sighed. He forgot he was talking to an Engineering student.
"Beam! Answer me!" Phana walked into Beam's room with anger.
"I'm moving. To the dorm where Posh and Wai live," Beam replied calmly.
"Why? Where?" Phana asked.
"I'm now an Engineering student. There's no need to stay next to Kit's room anymore. It would be more fitting to join the community where Engineering students live," Beam explained.
Phana furrowed his brow. This kid really... "Where?" He repeated his last question.
"Do you know Forth's dorm?" Beam asked.
Phana nodded.
"Across the street. Right next to the dim sum place," Beam said. "Nice dorm."
"Everything's ready, Beam," Posh slapped Beam's shoulder. "Let's go!"
Beam nodded at Posh. "You guys just earned yourselves free lunches for a week from me!"
Kit threw both hands up in the air. Phana couldn't believe that Beam had just...
The following week at SOTUS became more enjoyable. There was no more chasing for signatures, just push-ups and shouting because the new students failed to perform simple tasks like forming a line or singing the Engineering march loudly enough.
