Thursday, second breakfast without Beam.
Forth blinked. He gazed at the two remaining chicken legs in front of him. He sighed and then proceeded to eat them. And then he took the time to talk to the auntie while paying for his breakfast. "Chicken legs should only have three legs per serving. Five legs are too many."
The auntie chuckled. "Forth, you were one of those who said five weren't enough."
Forth sighed.
"Oh, missing your faen, aren't you?" The auntie teased.
Forth furrowed his brow. "Which faen?"
"Oh? Did he break up with you? No wonder. You still made him pay for you. Boy, if I were a man and had a face and charm like that, I wouldn't waste myself on you."
Forth furrowed his brow even harder.
"What was his name again? Beam...?" The auntie mused. She was in her late 30s and had three children. Her husband was even standing beside her. "He's the most handsome man I've ever seen."
Her husband coughed beside her.
She laughed and kissed her husband's lips. "After you, honey."
Forth just chuckled.
And then he stopped at the door. He looked at Posh and Wai sitting side by side. "Wow. You two are really here every day, and yet, you're so rude not to greet your senior..."
Posh and Wai glanced at Forth unimpressed. "Not greet you? We waved our hands like crazy until our fifth attempt to greet you." Posh said. "Yeah. And then we gave up on you." Wai nodded.
Forth shook his head. "I don't remember you ever trying."
Posh threw both of her hands up in the air. "It's up to you, P'Forth."
"You're blinded by your own happiness, P'." Wai still had faith in Forth.
"What happiness?"
Wai smiled sadly. "You've lost someone even without realizing it. Man, it's really sad, and I still want to see you cry first for hurting my friend, so... Let's go, babe, I don't want to waste a day without your love, unlike some other people."
Posh and Wai walked out of the dim sum place, leaving Forth stunned behind.
Forth blinked. He sat at his usual table during lunch break, watching his four friends chatting and laughing with food in front of them.
Forth still hadn't taken his lunch.
He looked at Posh and Wai. Posh had iced latte with her. She always argued for iced latte with Beam.
Then Lam had pink milk and sat across from them.
Forth looked at the pink milk. It was Lam's favorite drink, all the time. Just like Arthit. Yeah, thanks to Kongpob, everyone knew that was Arthit's favorite drink.
"You're starting to drink that again." Forth pointed at the pink milk.
Lam nodded. "I stopped drinking it because it was Wayo's favorite drink, and I thought it would still remind you of him during the past year." He said, looking directly into Forth's eyes. "But I started drinking it again since Beam happened. When I bought it for him, he said he liked it. Better than any pink milk he had tried before."
