C/n's POV:

Dunno why even am I so nervous. Not like it's Y/n's first time coming over. She's slept over at least a hundred times. Hell, I've spent a hundred hours with her whenever she was hanging out with my sister and I decided to join them - solely for the reason of being able to be with her.

And yet I am this nervous when she's coming for a sleepover? This is embarrassing. I'm worse than a ten-year-old.

Besides, I've given her hints before. She should know. I took selfies on her phone when she accidentally left it here - and I took off my shirt for them - and then went all the way to her house to return it to her. I let her paint my nails and braid my hair. I let my sister bleach it to match hers. I've learned to cook to make her something.

I've done way more embarrassing things for me to be this nervous over a sleepover that has happened many times before.

But oh God how I hope she'd forget her pyjamas again. I would kill to see her in my tee and shorts again, so big on her that she looked as though she was drowning.

I wiped my hands on my pants and turned off the engine. Almost wishing the drive to her house would last longer, I exited the car and leaned against it, not being able to wait to see her surprised face at the same time. Get a grip, C/n, for Christ's sake.

I leaned and leaned and leaned.

Did she leave already? I frowned. I would've definitely seen her if she had left. I hope.

And just then, the front door of her house opened and there she stood. Y/n. Breathtaking as ever. I sure hate my sister a lot but I love her for befriending Y/n.

"C/n?" she called out to me, clearly surprised. The way she says my name drives me crazy. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to drive you, of course," I said while trying to ignore my heart's beating. It was getting faster with every second. I opened the door of the passenger's side for her.

"Oh, thanks," she smiled at me. "Did you wait long?" She got in the car as she asked.

I laughed at her question. I was standing here for like ten minutes waiting for her, but there was no way I'd tell her that. I would wait the whole day for her if it meant I'd get to see her at the end of it. "Long enough to be afraid you had left through some secret back door without me seeing you," I opted to joke instead. Hey, girls like funny guys, right?

I shut the door and went over to my side of the car, getting in as well and turning the engine on.

She looked at me. "Sorry for making you wait. If I knew you'd come, I would've hurried a bit more." She sounded sorry. It was adorable.

"If you knew, it'd kill the surprise," I said, hoping the revving of the engine hid my nervousness I tried to play off with a smile. "Besides, what took you so long anyway?"

"Oh, I just couldn't find some stuff," she shrugged while refusing to make any more eye contact with me. I caught her e/c eyes in the back view mirror, though. And also the pink in her cheeks.

Seeing her blush made me blush too. I didn't want her to notice, though. So I said, "Want to play some music?" It was getting too silent for me in the car and we needed something to loosen up the atmosphere with. What's better than vibing to music?

She reached forward to turn on the radio button, switching between the radio stations until a song she liked came on. After a while, she began to sing along and I couldn't help but join from time to time as well. We couldn't really sing but the radio and the engine buzz drowned out voices just enough for it not to sound entirely off.
