-You and a whole bunch of your friends were on the road, travelling together, including him.-

_____

"Hey?" you softly called into the back of the minivan you were currently driving. Your voice was quiet, breathing even, it was the middle of the night and you had to drive in order to get to the place you've all dreamed of visiting in the morning - the other were asleep and snoring lightly.

It wasn't the whole way that you drove, though, you took turns so that none of you would tire out. You volunteered yourself to drive during the night, but now were begining to regret the decision a little - you were starting to become tired and it was getting harder to keep your eyes open.

"Guys, are y'all sleeping?"

The road was calm, without many cars around and you listened to the sound of the engine revving as it sped by. You didn't turn on the radio, it'd wake the others up.

You glanced into the small mirror above your head to see what was happening in the back of the minivan, if they were all sleeping, but you couldn't see anything, only indistinct shaped of people huddled up in blankets in the dark. The car sometimes swayed gently when the road was bumpy and it helped in lulling you to sleep as well.

"I'm awake," a voice just as silent and careful as yours called out from the back and you heard shifting, the person making his way closer to you.

He climbed through into the passenger's seat and sat down, stretching out his arms. He then proceeded to look at you.

"Are you feeling alright? Tired?" He leaned his head closer to yours and examined your face. "Don't you dare fall asleep on us and crash."

You laughed lowly and his face turned worried. "No, seriously. I can wake someone up for you to switch."

He himself couldn't drive or else he'd be probably already in the driver's seat, having forced you to stop at the side of the highway to switch. But he never got past his driving test and therefore could not drive.

You shook your head. "No." I just want to be alone with you. "Just tell me something or make me laugh," you told him and placed one hand from the steering wheel on his forearm to emphasize that you wanted him to stay.

He bobbed his head up and down and grinned, "okay, if you say so."

You could feel his gaze on you as he kept quiet for a little time and it already did the trick - making your heart beat faster, which washed away the tiredness that had taken over you before.

You felt your cheeks turn redder when he still didn't say anything and so decided to make your first move yourself. "What are you waiting for? Do I look so sexy driving it made you completely speechless?" You couldn't keep the sass out of your voice.

He laughed at your words. He was used to it by this time, you'd often flirt and joke with each other that way.

He'd always laugh, but if he did it, you'd usually blush - you were never quite sure if it was only a joke or if he'd actually meant it, you couldn't read it from the expression he'd give you at such times.

"I'm thinking of a great joke to tell you."

You gripped the steering wheel a little tighter.

It was definitely bringing nervous excited feelings to surface given the fact you two were the only ones awake in the middle of the night in the van, driving and keeping each other company. It felt so nice to finally share such a private moment since there was usually also some other friend to accompany you two, if not the whole group.

He burst out laughing - he must've remembered the joke and found it so funny he laughed even before telling you.

You slapped him on the hand lightly. "Be quiet!" you hissed but the amusement in your voice was clearly evident. "You'll wake everyone up!"
