Chapter 109: Roadblock

*Amy's P.O.V*

"That seems bogus." I tell Sam as we were teaching the lobby of the hotel room.

We were told that all of the dojos participating in the tournament have to go to the lobby because something happened. It seemed to be an important announcement so we might as well hear what needs to be said.

"That's because it is." Sam says.

"I mean vampires are supposed to be scary.." I shrugged, "Why was Edward Cullen sparkling in the sun?"

"That's what I'm saying. It makes no sense."

"The wolves were more scary in the movies."

"You got a point there."

The rest of our dojo was already in the lobby talking it up. Sam immediately went over to Miguel and Robby while I ended up walking over to Eli who was on his phone. He smiled once he saw me.

"Did you sleep well last night?" He asked me.

I nodded. "Yeah. It was very peaceful."

"You slept like an angel."

"Really? I did?"

"You did." He confirmed with a smile before he planted a soft but quick kiss on my lips. When we pulled away though, I took a quick glance to the side and saw someone watching us.

I frowned. It was Axel.

The guy must've been doing a double take because he seems to be paying attention to Eli and I before his eyes would wander over to Sam and Miguel.

"Is he still bugging you?" I heard Eli ask me.

"No.." I shook my head, "I.. I don't know why he's acting like that. I know he has talked to both Sam and I but he must not be feeling okay knowing that we have boyfriends. Or he just thinks I want to befriend him because of what he goes through. He seems like a kind and genuine person but he must be having a hard time letting people in."

"Does he like you or Sam?"

I thought about Eli's question as I would see Axel not take his eyes off of Sam and Miguel. He stood frozen like a statue.

"I think he likes Sam." I sighed.

"It would explain the glares he's giving Miguel from a distance."

"He was giving you glares too."

"Really?" He turned back to me.

"Yeah." I nodded. "Just now."

"I can talk to him if you want." He said, looking at me and waiting for the approval.

I let out a laugh. "Stop, you don't need to talk to him. It's fine."

"Maybe Miguel will though."

"Maybe."

It's more so that Axel is paying attention to Sam and Miguel. He most likely has a crush on my cousin and isn't handling it very well that she has a boyfriend. And perhaps he was staring at Eli and myself because he must be thinking about our conversations. I mean, he cut our last conversation short when we were at the bar last night. He walked away immediately.

"Have you talked to Tory at all?"

"Only before and after Miyagi-Do defeated Cobra Kai." I said, "She seemed upset after they lost."

And she still looked upset. I can see from a distance that she is very down after Cobra Kai's defeat and she was look at the ground and not anywhere else. But then I could see Robby approach her and I can see them exchanging words but I can't tell what they're talking about. Then Kwon joined in which had him and Robby in a face off. I wonder what happened there.
