*Amy's P.O.V*
I really didn't know how to answer Sam. I don't know where to start.
"Are you pregnant?" Sam asked me.
"No, I'm not." I said to her, already dismissing the idea.
"Amy, this is a new pregnancy test. It hasn't been used. You brought this to Barcelona with you. What's going on?"
I sighed because I knew that I would have to tell her. "Something felt weird after I took the first two pregnancy tests. They both said negative and I thought for sure, I wasn't pregnant. I pushed it to the back of my mind after that but then I realized that I haven't gotten my period since. It made me think that maybe I am actually pregnant and the first two tests were false negatives."
"If you think you're pregnant then you need to take the test."
"No." I shook my head.
"Why not?" She asked in disbelief.
"Because that's not the only one I brought with me to Barcelona. There's another one."
"Another test?"
"Yes."
"And what was the result?"
"It's just as I suspected.." I trailed off, "I'm pregnant. I'm with Eli's child."
"When did you take the test?"
"After we finished fighting Dublin Thunder. After we talked to your dad."
"You fought while possibly being pregnant?"
"Yes, I did." I confirmed. "But my stomach didn't take any hard hits. I'm pregnant, Sam. I'm going to become a mom and you're going to have a baby cousin."
Sam stared at me, feeling a bit shocked but I can see a glimmer of a smile on her face. And her eyes started to well up with tears. But I know those are happy tears.
"I'm so happy for you and Eli." She said before she gave me a hug and I hugged her back, my own tears falling from my eyes.
I'm happy to share this moment with my cousin. It's so special to me. Sam and Anthony will be getting another cousin, Daniel and Amanda will be an uncle and aunt again. This baby is going to have so much family who loves him or her.
Sam then pulled back from the hug. "How are you going to tell Eli?"
"I have no idea. But I'll figure something out."
"And we were at a bar tonight. Did you drink anything?"
"Not alcohol. I basically had lemonade and then soda." I shook my head. "Eli didn't suspect anything. They could pass off as some other alcoholic drink so he didn't question it. So he probably thought I had an actual drink."
"That's smart." She applauded me.
"Thank you but I am hoping to tell him soon. He has to know."
"Yeah, I agree."
"So, have you heard anything from Miguel?"
"I haven't." She shook her head. "I'm sure he'll tell me something whenever he gets the chance."
"Yeah.." I nodded.
"Maybe now is a good time for some rest." Sam suggested. "Do you want any water before?"
"I'm okay. Rest sounds great after a long night."
