*Amy's P.O.V*
We're back at the arena where the All Valley would be held.
It's time to get back to the Sekai Taikai.
Even though I was a part of the team back in Barcelona, I have made the decision to watch the fights from the bleachers. I'll still be cheering Robby on when he goes up against Axel.
Speaking of Axel, as I saw him enter the arena, he seemed to not be paying attention to anything else. He was listening to what his sensei was saying, not Terry Silver, but the other one who's name I don't know. It wasn't mentioned but it honestly felt nice to see him again even if he can't recognize me right now. I'm sure he does remember me but he's not looking at his surroundings at all. He's giving his sensei all of his attention.
"Imagine if we're here in about 16 years.." Amanda said from beside me, "Your child might be into karate when they are older."
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves." I tell my aunt, "We don't know if the baby will be into karate."
"They might. Everyone that is a part of the LaRusso family is taking karate. It won't surprise me when we eventually get to that stage."
"It's a good thing I don't need to worry about that right now."
My aunt really went crazy with her support for Miyagi-Do. Her face is painted and she has the headband on. Looks like she's ready to go.
Suddenly, someone sat on the other side of Amanda.
"Oh, wow. You really went all out, huh?" The blonde woman said.
"Oh, well, it's the Sekai Taikai." Amanda answered, smiling so wide that her cheeks might start to hurt. "It's like the Super Bowl, the World Cup, and March Madness all rolled into one."
Then I heard my aunt yell, "Yeah, Robby kick some ass!"
I stared at her in surprise because she didn't give me a fair warning that she would be yelling at the top of her lungs. I think she busted open an eardrum. It's also hard to believe that maybe my aunt has turned into one of those crazy karate moms.
"Oh, Amy.." Amanda caught my attention. "This is Shannon, Robby's mom. And Shannon, this is Amy who is my niece."
"Nice to meet you." I gave her a smile.
"Nice to meet you too, Amy."
The tournament seemed to begin because the host started to talk, "The time has come. We have two semifinals to complete. Of the world's 16 best dojos, it's all come down to the final three. Let's give it up for the Iron Dragons."
A lot of people in the arena cheered. I found myself clapping but only for Axel. I don't really care for Zara and their senseis. Then I cheered for Miyagi-Do but Amanda, who went out, jumped out of her seat while yelling at the top of her lungs again. She's really going to lose her voice by the end of this. I clapped for Cobra Kai when they were announced but it still felt kind of weird. It's been a few weeks since I last talked to Tory.
The host continued to say, "The rules are simple. Each dojo will retain the points they've earned in their Barcelona competitions. Our unfinished boys' semifinal will reset to zero-zero, and the remaining girls' semifinal will be taking place tomorrow. Each match will consist of three two minute rounds with unlimited scoring. One point for a hit, ten for a knockdown, and 20 for a knockout. The finals will determine our individual champions, and the dojo with the most cumulative points will be crowned grand champion. Now.. will everyone please stand and join me in a moment of silence for our fallen competitor, Kwon Jae-Song."
I stood up with everyone else and closed my eyes as I tried to pay tribute to Kwon. But the quiet didn't seem to last long because someone was eating nachos. I heard Johnny say Penis Breath so I know that it was Mitch. Could he be any more disrespectful?
