*Amy's P.O.V*
"How far along are you?" My grandma, Lucille, asked as we were in the kitchen and she was getting dinner made.
We're having a little dinner with my grandma as she had come to pay a visit. My uncle and aunt even invited Miguel and his family which is why Sam is currently not with us. She is talking with her boyfriend while Amanda and Daniel are talking to Carmen and Rosa. I would say that they are also talking to Johnny as well but he's asleep on the couch in the living room. Eli still hasn't arrived yet but he did message me about a few minutes ago to tell me that he's almost here.
"I'm about two months along now.." I smiled as I placed my hand on top of my still flat stomach. I feel like it's slowly almost close to showing a bump and I can't wait to see the bump once it's here. "I think in about a month, I will start showing completely and I'm excited."
"I'm excited for you too, dear." My grandma smiled. "I remember getting the phone call about the news. I couldn't stop grinning."
"Everyone has been having a lot of excitement since I shared the news. Sam and I are always talking about it."
"I bet! You two are always around each other."
"But she will be going to Okinawa soon and I'll be going to Pasadena with Eli and our best friend Demetri. It'll be a huge adjustment because I won't have Sam or my uncle there for me."
"But you'll have your boyfriend, who is the father of your baby.." Lucille put her hand on my shoulder. "He'll do anything for you. And don't forget that just because you won't be living with your uncle anymore, it doesn't mean he'll stop being there for you. He'll want you to call him every chance you get."
"I know, grandma." I nodded, a light smile on my face as I continued to think about the situation. Just more about how Sam and I will be separated again but we'll be okay and she'll be home after a year.
Hopefully that year doesn't take forever. But I do want her to have a lot of fun when she's visiting Okinawa. She's doing something we both always dreamed of wanting to do. It's fascinating.
I let my grandma continue making food while I went to talk to Sam and Miguel.
"Hey, so when is your boyfriend coming?" Sam asked.
"He should be here soon." I said as I checked the time on my phone. It should be anytime now.
"He did tell me that he was getting some last minute stuff for the move to Pasadena."
"Yeah, that's what he told me too.."
And just as I finished saying that sentence, the doorbell went off. That has to be Eli because if it's someone else, I won't be too pleased. I started to walk towards the door, feeling hopeful. Please let it be my boyfriend. When I opened the door, luckily, I didn't have to worry anymore.
"I'm so glad you're here." I said to Eli and then immediately wrapped my arms around him.
"Did I get here too late?"
"No." I shook my head. "You came here at the right time."
"I was worried that I may have arrived here too late. My mom wanted to get out of the house and head into town to see if there was anything we needed when we went to Pasadena. We got held up at the store."
"Was there something wrong?"
"No, nothing was wrong. It was my mom who got held up at the store. She never knows when to leave and I had to keep reminding her that I had to be at your house."
"Well, come in, babe." I held his hand as he walked farther into our house. "Miguel is here too."
"Hell yeah!" Eli grinned and we had started to walk towards Sam and Miguel who were close, waiting for us. "There's the Sekai Taikai champ."
