"What about Galinda?" Sam suggested.
"What? No." I laughed as we rode in Daniel's 1947 Ford Super Deluxe. We're on our way to the Cobra Kai dojo to help Miguel and Tory train for their final fights. And right now, Sam and I are discussing possible names if the baby ends up being a girl.
"Or we could go the opposite route.." Sam was saying, "Elphaba."
"Oh, yes. Elphaba Moskowitz. That's the winner."
"Really?"
"No." I shook my head. "That's ridiculous."
Even though we were discussing possible names if the gender is a girl, it somehow turned into her saying random names from movies and plays that we have been into. We are big fans of Wizard of Oz and Wicked. So she's literally listing names that would seem appropriate.
I feel like this is the opposite of appropriate.
"Or Dorothy?"
"That name is pretty, I wouldn't mind it actually."
"Are you lying?"
"No." I looked at my cousin. "I actually like it. Dorothy Gale is one of my favorite fictional characters."
"If it's a girl and you pick that name, Dorothy Moskowitz doesn't sound too bad."
"It's not bad at all. I would have to see what Eli thinks of it whenever we end up talking about baby names again."
"Yes, run it by him."
"Don't worry, I will."
"It's nice having you guys talking to each other again." Uncle Daniel said as he drove into the parking lot of the old Cobra Kai dojo and he was hearing a little bit of our conversation.
"We only went a day without talking to each other." I said.
"Barely a day in reality." Sam said as she started to get out of the convertible and Daniel started to get a pitching machine.
"Either way, it doesn't matter how long it was. It's good to see you two on the same page. You guys have a really close bond and you shouldn't let an argument ruin it."
And he wasn't wrong at all. Sam and I may have had a small argument but we shouldn't let it come in between us. So I'm happy that we were able to forgive each other and be the cousins everyone knows us as. The LaRusso cousins.
Daniel carried the pitching machine as we entered the old Cobra Kai dojo.
"Hell yeah!" I heard Johnny yell. "Now we're talking."
"Let me get this set up real quick." Daniel said as he immediately set up the pitching machine in front of the mirror and Johnny would stand behind it. Daniel gave Johnny the little remote that he would use so that the balls would come flying out.
It didn't take long before Miguel and Tory started to use it.
I stood beside Daniel and nodded as I would watch two of my close friends train for their final fights. They were doing a really good job with hitting the baseballs.
And just as they were finishing using the pitching machine, Eli and Robby came with boards of wood. Obviously, Robby couldn't carry any because he's on crutches but Eli came through with a high stack of wood, ready for Miguel and Tory to break.
Because Tory is breaking boards, I couldn't hold a piece of the wood since I'm pregnant. I'm sure she wouldn't kick me in the stomach again but let's not chance it.
So she kicked a board that Miguel was holding, punched one that Sam was holding and then kicked another one that Eli was holding.
Soon enough, everyone came to the dojo. Well, at least Anthony, Amanda, Kenny.
