Amy's P.O.V*
"Wait, that's what happened?" Sam asked as we were on a video chat.
I was currently resting in bed because it's close for me to get some rest. It's literally night time while it's morning over there in Okinawa. Sam had a free day from what I've heard so we're catching up a little bit.
"I've heard him and Demetri talking about it." I took a breath. "It's only been a few days since I heard their conversation but they don't know that I know. I've been trying my best to be normal."
"Normal? And how is that going so far?"
"It feels like I'm slowly losing my mind."
Sam let out a low whistle. "I can't blame you, Amy. I would be feeling the same way if I was in your position and it was Miguel who was having another girl's number."
"I mean, you kind of experienced it already."
And I'm talking about the moment where she had seen Miguel kissing another girl after we got qualified for the Sekai Taikai. She eventually ended up telling me about that moment and now I can fully understand her.
Okay, well, I kind of experienced it too. Back when we were in Barcelona and that girl, Maria, was flirting with Eli at the bar we were at. At that moment, I do wish that I kicked her teeth down her throat.
But after she helped us out during the brawl, I realized that maybe she wasn't too bad. I still didn't appreciate her flirting with my boyfriend though.
"Yeah, that moment wasn't too good to me. It sucked."
"And your reaction was completely valid."
"Miguel didn't think so."
"Well, Miguel isn't a girl so he wouldn't understand."
My cousin laughed. "Yeah, that's true."
I smiled a little. "But going back to the current topic, how much longer do I pretend to be normal? That whole situation is still bothering me."
"Well, it's not like Eli will see her in person again so maybe don't worry about it. He's the father of your baby and everyone knows how much he loves you. Just keep doing you and things will be okay."
I nodded, impressed with my cousin's words. They were really helpful and what I needed to hear.
My thoughts were then interrupted as the bathroom door swung open and Eli entered the room with a towel wrapped around his waist. He was in the shower as I was talking to Sam and I know she heard the bathroom door open so it's not just the two of us now.
"Hey." He greeted me.
"Hey." I smiled, "I'm on video chat with Sam."
He came into view without trying to show so much of his body even though Sam has seen him shirtless before.
"Hey, Eli." She waved at him.
"Hey, Sam." He waved back. "How's Okinawa?"
"It's absolutely beautiful and I'm enjoying my stay so far. It's been a fun adventure."
"And did Miguel enjoy it?"
"He did, yeah." She nodded, "He was pretty bummed about leaving after a few weeks but we were able to explore and be with each other because we weren't able to back in Barcelona. It's great."
"I'm glad to hear that, Sam." I smiled and that is when Eli started to put some clothes on. He stayed shirtless but he put some underwear and some basketball shorts on.
Then he went back into the bathroom so that he can do his nightly routine.
"Is he in the bathroom again?" Sam asked.
