*Amy's P.O.V*
On the day of me moving out of the LaRusso house and starting the next chapter of my life with Eli and Demetri, my uncle made sure to go all out when it came to making the breakfast. He knew that I love his bananarama pancakes so he made sure to make extra of those banana, chocolate chip pancakes. Then of course there was scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage and some bagels because he knows I can't go a day without a bagel with cream cheese. But lately, I've found myself wanting it with cream cheese and strawberry jam. It's definitely a pregnancy craving.
I had a suitcase packed which was filled with the majority of my clothes. Then I had about two duffel bags. I mostly packed the necessities and essentials but once we are moved into the house, we will be doing more shopping.
And plus, if I ever feel like coming back home and staying for a while, I still have a room with some of my stuff.
It's only been two days since Sam left to be in Okinawa and we have been talking whenever she would have the chance. She did update me though about how Miguel is with her and he's helping her settle in. I squealed once I heard the news and hoped that she's having fun exploring with her boyfriend.
I took a sip of my orange juice before saying, "Eli said that he'll be here in about an hour."
Daniel was making some more tea for him and Amanda before he said, "He is? Okay, sounds good. Everything is packed and ready to go?"
"Yeah, I have everything packed."
"First my daughter and now my niece.." Daniel sighed, "This is a huge adjustment."
"There will come a day or two where I come to visit and stay the night." I promised him.
"I know but it still feels weird because I was so used to having you and Sam around. I'm used to hearing your voices from down the hallway."
I smiled. "I know, Uncle Daniel."
Amanda and Anthony soon joined us for breakfast. My aunt made sure that she wasn't working in the morning so that she was able to say her goodbyes to me before I hit the road.
"It seems like just yesterday when Amy moved in with us after coming from New Jersey." Amanda sat down at the kitchen table after she grabbed some breakfast and Daniel placed her cup of tea in front of her.
"It does feel like it." Anthony started to eat some of the pancakes.
"But it was only over a year ago when she moved in with us and now she's off to explore the world."
"Well, not really." I shrugged. "I'm only going to Pasadena."
"It's still far from us, Amy, and I'm not ready to say goodbye to you." Amanda said. Perhaps it's hitting her already.
Geez and I wonder what was going through Sam's mind when this was happening a few days ago. I know she kept her composure but she must've had a lot of thoughts. This goodbye felt different because when I left New Jersey, I was happy to leave because I wouldn't be living with my parents anymore and I was going to have a better life. I knew I wasn't going to miss my mom and dad but for this goodbye, I will miss my uncle, aunt, and younger cousin.
"I will say that it will be weird.." I started to say, "I'm so used to starting the day with coffee from Starbucks with Sam and we'll always have breakfast together. And then we'll go to the dojo. I'm going to miss everything."
Anthony is still doing karate, he has Johnny and Daniel as his senseis and I know that he will be amazing. He has great role models.
"It will be weird for all of us.." Daniel said as he sat at the kitchen table, "It'll take some time to adjust but we'll still have cell phones and if you ever need anything, don't be afraid to call."
