"One more time where is he?" I was getting more annoyed as the seconds passed by without finding out where my mate was and the evil smirk plastered across my father's face didn't go unnoticed.

"How about I take you to him." He didnt wait for an answer instead turning around and going the same way I had come from minutes before.

"How's being the alpha been? I see it didnt take long for you to get into a fight with another pack." I roll my eyes behind his back annoyed at the way he was trying to bait me.

"Not to mention losing your mate." I let out a growl at the comment as we reach the top of the steps into the light, I could see the sun slowly starting to go down and being we were covered by trees it made it darker than it really was.

"How's your mother?" He asks walking towards where I can only assume Cole would be.

"Fine now she doesn't have you around." He halts in his steps but only for a split second before walking again and I know it's hit a nerve. "Also my pack is doing fine, we're all happy much happier than we were." Two could play at the game he was playing, I knew just how to get on nerves as well.

"There not your pack." I smile happy to see it was working.

"They're under my command, they do what I ask them to do. Oh not to mention they voted me alpha." I make sure to say voted a little louder than the rest of the sentence to really annoy him and it works with the growl that comes from him.

We keep walking the crunch of leaves and sticks under us as we walk, I had been paying attention getting used to the rhythm our feet were making, so when I picked up on the sound of someone else's closing in from behind I waited to let them think they had fooled me.

I waited until they were two steps away from me, just enough for my arm to reach out. Stopping dead in my tracks I spin around arm reached and hand tight around his neck.

I wait just enough time to look the guy right in the eyes, he was shocked surely thinking he had the upper hand and that's when I hear the snap as his neck tilts out of place telling me he was dead.

I look back at my father who just raises an eyebrow impressed.

"Well done, I mean the fact he thought that would work was stupid, even I could hear him walking but that's rouges for you. No past training all thinking they know what's best." He turns back around walking forward and within a few more steps I see the caravan placed between the trees far enough away that we would have to get through everyone to get here.

I listen waiting to see what I can hear from the caravan to hear two heart beats knowing Cole isn't alone.

"Who's in there?" I ask even though I know he won't give me an answer for some reason I still ask.

"Oh, just a little backup." I notice how he has stopped moving instead staying, his eyes on the door of the caravan. I start walking towards the caravan every few steps looking back just to make sure he hadn't moved and only see the evil glint in his eye.

Opening the door to the caravan I come face to face with someone I didn't know, he looked pretty young only a few years older than me but none the less he looked strong. I could tell he was the kind of person who worked out each day and wasn't afraid of a fight.
