Two Mates, One Fate.

Chapter 18.

Two hours they were both in the office talking about things we didn't know. Though we didn't hear any yelling so that must count for something, We all sat in the living room making small talk when we heard someone coming down the stairs we all turned so we were facing the stairs waiting for someone to turn into the living room.

Grandpa.

"So after a long strong talk with my son we are agreeing to let the pack take a vote because it will be for the best, Though he does still think he will win because of the loyalty of the pack so Carrie you need to go get changed into something more suitable to address the pack and can you three please round up the pack but don't say what for yet not until everyone is together."

Mum, Zac and Cole all getup and head for the front door to get the pack together while me and grandpa just look at each other waiting until they are out of hearing.

"Carrie my darling granddaughter come give your grandpa a hug right now."

I stand up from my chair and walk over to his open arms welcoming the hug.

"Grandpa, what do you think will happen?"

He puts his hands on my shoulders pushing me back to be able to look at me.

"I think most of the pack will vote for you, some for your father and those who do will have something to say about you being in power but from what I have seen and what you told me yesterday on the phone you are doing what is right for the pack. I don't understand what has happened with your father when I was training him to become Alpha he was always going to do what was best and then he takes over and I leave the pack and I find out all this stuff, why no one told me sooner I will never understand but you Carrie you're the leader the pack wants and needs in the short amount of time you have had leading this pack you have won over many of the pack members over."

I nod in understanding still slightly scared about what is about to happen, I mean at the start only a few members of the pack accepted me then after a while more begun to accept me but I know there is still a few of my father's friends who would pick his side and are old fashioned when it came to this kind of thing. The oldest son is always meant to take over from the Alpha none of these people have had a women pack leader I mean out of the people who were born like me one ended up having full reign of her pack. 

"Now you should go get changed jeans and an old T-shirt ain't going to cut it right now."

I smiled and laughed at my grandpa before rushing up the stairs into my room looking for something to wear.

Well, here we are standing on the balcony myself, grandpa and my father. The pack was all looking up listening to my grandpa give his speech.

"So all of you will go back to your houses and I will come around to each one and ask for your vote. Right now there is no Alpha so you have the choice in the matter on who you think would make the better Alpha for this pack, Everyone who is eighteen and over will get a vote. Once I have got the votes and counted them you will all be called back and I will announce the Alpha and you shall bow down submitting to your Alpha. You are all dismissed."

The pack starts to disburse going back to their houses and the three of us all step into the house being welcomed by my mum, Zac and Cole.
