After planning extra safety with the guards last night I didn't get to sleep until two in the morning making me very tired instead of going back home to the new house me and Cole both agreed we were too tired and would just crash at the pack house in our old room. Of course, as soon as we got to bed we went straight to sleep not talking about anything that just happened.

I felt someone gently tapping me the next morning and when I opened one eye I was shocked to see my grandpa on his knee next to me, he brings a finger up to his lips telling me to keep quiet. I take a quick look behind me at Cole who was cuddled up next to me his arm around me, I look back at my grandpa and he nods towards the door.

I slide out from under Coles arm and quickly grab Coles' jumper that was on the chair by the door, happy I went to sleep in sweatpants.

Once in the hallway, I turn to my grandpa making sure the door is fully shut I speak.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing I just thought maybe it was time for the two of us to spend some time together." He does his normal cheeky smile before heading towards the stairs and I follow after him.

I end up following him until he's outside and he takes a seat on the bench where I sit next to him.

"So I can't tell you more than you've read in the packs history books about the other four girls as that's all I know, but I want to know how your training has been going do you feel any different?" Grandpa asks looking at me.

"I can tell I'm stronger than I used to be before we moved back here Zac was the only person I got to spar with and he could always overpower me. Now it's like I can almost sense what he's going to do next, I don't know if that's because I'm stronger now or if it's because I know him so well, also whenever I spar with anyone else I can pin them within minutes." My grandpa smiles at me nodding his head seeming pleased.

"Well it sounds like your getting stronger, now what about your hearing have you tried working on it? Seeing if you can listen further than most wolves." I must have looked puzzled as he takes a deep breath before explaining.

"For instance right now if I listen to my surroundings I can hear the birds... the water from the lake not far from here and a few bee's along with the few people who are up in the pack house of course, but you should be able to hear more than that and if you really work on it, you can single just one sound out and focus on it." I look out at the land in front of us and into the tree's shutting my eyes working on just listening to the sounds out theirs.

I can hear the birds in the trees, I can hear the water from the lake and I can even hear bee's doing their job, I keep listening trying to push out even more.

"I can hear a car driving on the dirt path." I say out loud to my grandpa.

"What else really push it." He whispers.

I keep pushing as if I'm following the car as it gets closer to the main road and it starts to hurt my forehead squeezing my eyes tighter as if that would help. The car gets off the dirt path onto the main road the difference in sound telling me that, I keep pushing further than the car and all the tree's, I hear even more cars as I get to the main road just before the town.

"I can hear the town." I say once voices fill my head loads of people chatting but I can't make out what they're all saying as their talking at once.

"Okay, try and pick just one of those voices whatever one stands out to you most."

"But it hurts." I say the pain getting stronger.

"And it will until you're used to doing this, your ears and brain aren't used to working this hard you're only used to hearing as much as me once you practice doing this more you will have no worries." He puts his hand on my shoulder in comfort giving it a slight squeeze.

I take a deep breath trying to get as much air to my brain as I can before picking out the voice of a man who sounded like he was yelling, the loudest voice I could hear.

Slowly more voices go and I'm stuck with just the voice of him and the people around him, taking another breath I do the same thing again pushing so much it feels like my sulk my crack under the pressure.

Then it happens it's just his voice in my head.

'Well I told you yesterday to push back the dam appointment, now I look unprofessional and I'm still not anywhere near the offices yet.'  He shouts and I don't hear anyone talk back to him so I assume he's on the phone. 'I don't care if you was busy on the phone at the time I told you to do it you should have noted it down and done it once you was finished.'

I let go of the hold I had on him coming back into the here and now, taking a few deep breaths of air slowly trying to ease the pain I was in.

"Well did you do it?" My grandpa asks patting my back.

"I did it, I couldn't hold on for too long though." He smiles at me pleased.

"It's a step forward, for now, you should go have a nap before a headache arrives and practice when you're ready."

I nod my head kissing my grandpa on the cheek before heading right back into the pack house and up to my old room, I could hear the shower on in the bathroom next door and thought about checking in on Cole but the bed was calling and my head was hurting.

As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out like a light.

So super short chapter more of a filler if anything.

Anyway, the next chapter is only to be the last dream chapter.

Also if I don't add any more chapters I will have 5 chapters left not including the dream chapter next so we're getting close to the end.
