Carries POV.

It was around noon when I finally got pulled away from the office to take a look at the new houses and the start of the playground, Cole and Zac had gotten a few of the children to run up and get me not taking no for an answer. So here I was getting a full tour from the three children.

"Isn't it amazing how much they have got done in such a short amount of time. My dad helped on this house." The oldest of the three said pointing to the house on my right that was finished standing tall with people already moving furniture into it.

"My mummy said we are moving into one of these old houses, It used to be her parents before the war and they are giving it to us now but it's not finished yet." I smiled down at the little child swinging my hand back and forth with hers as we walked.

I look around getting to some of the houses that were still being worked on half a wall here and there people painting the outside of the house's putting windows and doors in place.

"Hello, Alpha Carrie."

"Hello, Andy." I was slowly getting used to being called Alpha I mean at the start I would forget I was the Alpha until someone nudged me reminding me that the person was talking to me now I remember to reply even though I have asked everyone to just call me Carrie so now it's changed to Alpha Carrie.

We walked a little more all the time the kids pointing things out about the houses until we stopped when we heard yelling, I couldn't make it out what was being said but I could tell who it was and this wasn't going to go down well.

I kneel down so I'm facing the kids and give them all a reassuring smile. "How about you three go back to the pack house and find Nonna and ask her to make you chocolate chip pancakes how does that sound?"

All three of their faces light up and they run back to the pack house. I walk up to where all the yelling is taking place to see Cole, Zac and my father yelling back and forth at each other.

"When I left I did not give permission for this to be rebuilt or anything to be rebuilt so you must take it all back down now!" My father shouts points at the walls around him.

"While you was gone you wasn't the Alpha!" Zac steps forward taking charge before Cole lost his temper.

"I will always be the Alpha no matter what and you will always be my son so do not talk to me like that."

Zac and my father went on like this for a few moments before they noticed me standing to the side. Cole was in front of Zac pushing him back from getting any closer to father.

"Father I think we should talk in the office." I finally say having enough of the childish behaviour.

"Yes, I should get back to work see how much money your brother has wasted on this stupid project."

I was confused for a moment what made him think Zac was the one spending the money and giving the orders unless he thought Zac was the Alpha while he was gone.

"Why would Zac be the one spending the money?"

"Because he is the next in line to be Alpha and being that me and my second in command were gone someone had to be in charge."
