Someone knocking on my bedroom door is how I woke up the night morning relentless knocking does anyone know how to sleep here, I mean it was only eight in the morning I think to myself looking at the clock on my bedside table.

I was back in my room now thankfully meaning I didn't have to spend the night sharing with my brother.

I finally get out of bed walking towards the door and swinging it open to find Katie.

"What do you want?" I ask looking at her, she was already fully dressed and looked like she had been awake for ages.

"Finally, your father sent me to wake you he is calling a family meeting." Family meeting? That's a thing here now?

"Okay just let me get dressed." I say shutting the door and going to get dressed not really even trying just shoving some tracksuit bottoms on with a big jumper over the thin strap top I was sleeping in.

I step out to find Katie had already left and head down the stairs towards his office, I knock on his office door and he calls me in. Once inside I see that mum and Zac are already there I joined them both as they sat on the sofa off to the side my father still in his chair.

The meeting wasn't overly interesting, father thought today would be a good day to link me and Zac to the rest of the pack. Even though he was asking if we would like to link up me and Zac knew it wasn't really a question it's not like we could say no, it would look like we didn't want to be apart of the pack.

It was considered rude.

So we agreed.

"Carrie can you stay for a moment." My father says looking down at the paperwork in front of him.

I nod even though he couldn't see as both Zac and mum leave the office Zac looking back just as he closed the doors, I move to sit opposite him in the less than comfy chair.

"The pack have been asking questions and I think it's finally time to address the situation so later today when the pack is altogether to link the two of you, we shall address it." He tells me writing a few things down not even looking up at me.

"But I don't want to address it there is nothing to address, we don't know what is going on we're in the same boat as them we know nothing." I say trying to get my father to understand my side.

"Well your grandfather got back to me and he is on his way here, he should be here any day. He will tell us more, he said he needed to make a couple stops first get a few things before coming here." I decide this is the only way I could get more time and use it to my advantage.

"Surely we should wait until then, think of all the questions the pack will have when you confirm things at least this way we can tell them everything at once. As an alpha they expect you to know everything." This caught his attention he looked up in thought before slowly nodding his head.

"Very well we shall wait until we understand everything." He says before going back to his work.

"Is there anything else he told you?" I ask hopefully.

"The year of the war we sent you away for they came asking for the future alpha, that's why we protected your brother and sent you with him thinking they were after Zac and was going to kill him to get rid of any chance of future alphas. I didn't understand but one of them mentioned a young girl with the power the alpha female, now I think about it I believe they were here after you."
