Chapter 11.

A lot can change in a month.

A lot has changed in a month.

I had been hanging out with Ben a lot more, the pack started to talk to me and not whisper behind my back and the only time I saw Cole was whenever me and him spared together.

My father had put guards in place since learning more about my powers and the fact that if people, where to find out, would try and kill me to get the powers from me, grandpa had written to him telling him what he thought he should know.

I had been working on my powers every day building up my strength, running in both wolf and human form to help get faster. I even started to notice my eyesight and hearing gets sharper in human form almost as if I was a wolf were my senses where twice as heighten. 

I'd even gone on another date with Ben.

Well, it was kinda a date, I would call it us hanging out while he would call it a date.

I'd stopped having those dreams since the last one but instead, I was struggling to sleep only getting an hour here or there and one night while sitting in the living room watching TV Ben went past with his dad doing patrols when he saw a light on in the pack house past hours and checked in.

Saw it was me and started to make habits of coming by the pack house late at night to see if I was up if I was then we would watch whatever movie I had on.

That was until he started bringing his own movies over.

Right now was one of them times, he had brought some film over and I was bored shitless.

"This movie is pretty shit." I say looking at my nails thinking how I should really repaint them or just take the chipped nail varnish off.

"Yeah, your right." Ben replies while eating the last of the popcorn but also not taking his eyes off the screen like it was the best thing he'd seen.

"So why are we still watching it?" It was a two and a half hour film, I head read the back of the case while he was putting it in and we still had an hour and a half left. It was a waste of my time.

"I want to find out what happens." Was his reply causing me to roll my eyes.

I go for someone of the popcorn that was in the bowl between us hoping there was some left, instead I ended up touching Ben's hand as we both reached at the same time. We both just looked at each other before looking at our hands still in the bowl touching, I looked back up at Ben as he kept his eyes on our hands, I watched his adam's apple bob up and down.

I could tell he really wanted me to make the first move but I was frozen in place unable to move, so that's when he did it he moved forward slowly tilting his head until our lips touched. Our lips tingling the same way our hands did.

The next morning after freaking out after the kiss and calling it a night with Ben I was in my bedroom with Katie who was nice enough to repaint my nails, only if I told her what happened to put me in such a strange mood.

"I don't get why you freaked out though?" Was her reply after I told her the events of the night.

"I'd never had that feeling before, kissing a mate is so different that kissing a boyfriend. The way it made me feel and then I still couldn't get Cole out of my head, almost feeling as if I was betraying him."
