I woke up in a dark room and a terrible headache. My arms were tied behind my back and I was lying on my side. There was one low light torch hanging on the wall. I tried to observe my surroundings, but I could barely see anything. I was restrained by metal, the worse thing to use on an ice mage. I slowly began freezing the metal knowing that sooner or later it would shatter. Akio probably expected me to do this, but I didn't care. I had to get back to Fairy Tail. I only got a small part of the metal frozen before my magic power failed me. I apparently hadn't recovered enough yet. I kept pushing it. I had to get out. I had to.

"Where's Katie?" Papa asked Kyle. Kyle was supporting Lexi and Simon was limping heavily.

"I'm sorry Papa. I'm so sorry I couldn't save her. Blue Cobra took her," Kyle answered. Papa's face fell in worry.

"It's my fault Gray. I let her convince me to try unison raid. I knew we weren't ready," Simon mumbled. Papa took Simon's arm and supported him into the infirmary behind Kyle and Lexi. Mama was no where to be seen. I wandered through the guild. I was here, but I wasn't. Was it because of the communication locket that I've worn for so long?

Master Laxus sat at the bar talking to Mire. He had a mug of beer and they were discussion something in low tones. Master glanced at the group on their way to the infirmary.

"Katie's been taking by Akio. I was hoping he would leave her alone a little while longer, but apparently she's valuable to him," Master told Mira.

"Is that why Lucy wouldn't let Katie do anything when she was younger?" Mira asked, leaning towards him over the counter. Master nodded.

"They knew of his threat. He's fascinated with ice wizards. When Gray disappeared they were terrified it was him."  Master gave me a side glance and stood making a subtle gesture for me to follow him. I did and soon we were alone. He leaned against a wall as I stood there in silence.

"It's nice to see you Katie. Do you happen to have any idea of where your body is?" he asked.

"None at all," I answered. He nodded thoughtfully.

"Are you using the locket consciously?" he wondered. I shook my head.

"I'm asleep. I always have been when I've used it," I told him. I felt something tugging at my neck, pulling me away from the guild.

"Ah, sleeping beauty is awake. And I'm going to take this. Can't have Daddy dear coming to your rescue," I recognized the voice as Akio's. My locket fell from around my neck and my eyes wearily opened. It was lighter in the room now and Akio stood over me. He grinned down at me like this was normal. He was holding my locket.

"Give that back," I demanded, trying to sit up. Akio dangled the locket in front of my face after I successfully sat up.

"You mean this?"

"Of course I mean that!" I yelled at him. Akio cupped the locket in his hands.

"But I can't let you tell all your little friends where to find you. It'd be no fun that way. Especially since Simon survived my attack. The knight in shining armor has to come rescue the ice princess," Akio said with a smirk.

"I swear, when I get out of these..."

"You're never going to get out Katie. The metal is magic resistant. You'll never freeze them off. I'm not oblivious to the effect of ice. I have studied ice magic for 15 years. Ever since your father killed mine. I was no older than 5 when it happened." Akio glared at me with a fire in his eyes. For the first time, I was scared of him. Akio dangled my locket from a finger and twirled it lightly.
