I was in the prison again, but this time it was different. There was smoke everywhere and yelling.
"He's broken out!!" One voice yelled as an alarm blared.
"How did he do that?" Another voice demanded.
"We don't know. He just broke out." The first voice replied.
"Close the doors. Bring in the guards. Get him back in his cell!"
I wandered through the smoke looking for Akio. He was smirking in the middle of what use to be his glass prison.
"I'm so happy to see you again Kk. You gave me enough power to break my cell. And now, I'm coming to retrieve what is mine," Akio said, still smirking. I reached up to pull my locket off, but I wasn't wearing it. Where was it?!? I searched my body, but couldn't find it. It wasn't anywhere on my body.
"H-how?" I demanded as Akio reached out and cupped my face.
"I may not be an ice wizard, but I have an old magic. A mixture of control of time and control of where the physical body is in relation to the mind. Your locket was merely a tool to get me close enough to you to bring you to me," Akio told me in his low voice. His blue hair whipped around as magical energy increased around him. He leaned in so his mouth was next to my ear and whispered, "Hold on tight, Kk."
"No!" I shouted, pushing Akio away from me. "Ice make tiger!" I expected a large ice tiger to jump out, but there was only a little kitten that faded away quickly. Akio grinned that grin I hate so much.
"I control your reality here. And soon, I will control all of you," he promised in a low voice.
"Katie!! Wake up!! Don't you dare disappear on me!" Simon shouted at me.
Akio growled as I felt Simon's hands grab me, pulling me back.
"We will meet again Katie Fullbuster. And next time will be in person," Akio promised as everything faded away.
My eyes snapped open and I saw Simon holding both of my arms and shaking me.
"Katie! Thanks heavens you're okay! What happened? Was it Akio? Where's your locket?" Simon demanded holding me close.
"Akio's stronger. He broke out. He's coming Simon. We have to stop him," I answered as I held Simon just as tightly.
"But where's your locket? How did he get to you without it?" Simon asked.
"He doesn't need it anymore. He's stronger. The locket was just a tool to get to me. I think I put it in my coat pocket," I told him, burying my face in his chest. Simone released me and walked over to my coat. He pulled my locket out and glared at it. I sat on my knees on the bed and watching him in curiosity. He threw the locket to the floor and requiped a spear.
"Simon, what are you doing?" I wondered. He looked at me and his face softened slightly.
"Protecting you Katie," he said as he stabbed the spear into the locket.
"Simon no!" I yelled reaching forward a useless hand as he attacked it again and again.
"It's the only way Katie! As long as this cursed thing is around he'll only get stronger!" Simon answered. He changed weapons and kept attacking it. I jumped off the bed and grabbed his arm.
"Simon! Stop!" I begged. His weapons were a blur now as he changed between them trying to destroy the locket. It remained in perfect condition and he was just using up precious magical energy.
