5. Going on an adventure!

I hugged Papa tighter than I had ever hugged anyone else before. I don't know how long we stayed like that, but it wasn't long enough. He eventually pushed me away to look at me.

"Even though I got to watch Edolas Katie grow, it didn't prepare me for this. You're not the little girl I use to tuck into bed. How much make magic have you learned?" Papa's blue eyes bore into me.

"Everything I could from Lyon," I answered. He smiled. 

"Did the Prince give you a pill so you could do magic?" Papa asked. I nodded. "Then I guess we need to test your skills." Papa gave a grin and I grinned back. He looked behind me and saw Simon. "Would you like to join?" Simon nodded and Papa lead us outside. 

"Alright Kk, show me what you've learned." I gave a grin and began working.

"Ice make tiger!" A beautiful ice tiger jumped out of the ground and ran at Papa. He grinned.

"Ice make cage!" My tiger was trapped.

"Ice make canon!" I fired at the cage, releasing my tiger. Papa smiled in approval as he disposed of me tiger.

"Lyon taught you well. I see he even taught you two handed ice make."

"I didn't like it at first," I answered. Papa turned to Simon once again.

"You've grown too. How is Erza?" Papa wondered.

"Mom is doing well, Gray. I'm sure she'll love seeing you again," Simon answered. Papa nodded and looked behind me into the trees.

"Come out Kate. They don't bite. The Prince brought them," he called. The woods rustled and Katie Surge stepped out. It was strange to see myself, but I knew she was different from me. She glanced at Simon and went up to Papa.

"Is this your Katie?" she asked. Her hair was longer than mine and she wore too many coats like her father. Papa nodded to her question. She looked back at me, before continuing into the guild.

"Hey, wait!" I called. She stopped, but didn't look behind her. "Your Simon asked us to send you to him if we saw you. He said he'd be at the palace." Katie Surge continued on, seeming to ignore my message. This was the sweet, submissive Katie? She didn't act that way. 

"Kk? Did you have any ideas on how to get out of Edolas?" Simon asked taking me out of my thoughts. Him and Papa were standing together. I shook my head. "Then we should go see Prince Spoiled again. Maybe the King will have some ideas." Me and Papa nodded together. 

"I have to say goodbye to everyone first," Papa said. We followed him back into the guild. It was quiet. 

"Are you really leaving Fullbuster?" Cana asked. Papa nodded and she hugged him. "We'll miss you and your beautiful magic." Papa hugged her back. 

"It's time for me to go back to my family. I need to see how my Kyle has grown," Papa replied. At his words, I began searching for Edolas Kyle. It would be interesting to see him. I found him with Katie Surge. He had short hair and looked mature, whereas my brother was very childish. He saw me looked and gave me a head nod. I returned the gesture and watched as Papa went around saying his goodbyes. He finally came to Natsu and Lexi. Lexi smiled at me.

"So, what is Lexi Dragneel like?" she asked. 

"Impulsive, stupid, annoying," I answered. She continued to smile and even gave a little laugh. 

"That sounds just like Dad described Natsu Dragneel. Who is her mother?" Her eyes lit up and I realized that this girl had never known a mother. 

"Lisanna. Who is yours?" I asked. Lexi's face fell a little.
