Meteria: *Smile*  Hey sister, sister.

Alfia: *Sighs*  No, you're not getting another donut. That was the last one.... And for the love of everything sacred, how many times have I told you to stop eating in my room?!

The twin sisters were currently in Alfia's room. Meteria was sprawled on the bed, leisurely munching on a donut, crumbs scattering onto the blanket. Alfia, on the other hand, sat at a sturdy wooden desk, pen in hand, meticulously writing in a thick leather book.

Meteria: *Pout*  Mou! It's not about the donut! You're so mean sometimes. I just wanted to ask what you think of that Rose girl.

Meteria's question caught Alfia off guard, prompting her to pause mid-sentence. Her pen hovered above the page as her brow furrowed slightly, confusion flickering in her usually composed expression. She turned her head to glance at Meteria as she said-

Alfia: You mean the guild employee who often comes by for paperwork?

Meteria: Yes! Yes! Her! So? What do you think about her?

She said while nodding eagerly, her eyes lighting up before taking another cheerful bite of her donut, crumbs clinging to her fingers.

Alfia: Hmm... Well, she strikes me as someone who genuinely enjoys her work, a diligent worker, very proper and professional. From what little interaction I've had with her, she seems... competent, to say the least.

Her eyes narrowed slightly as she studied Meteria, her tone shifting to one of suspicion.

Alfia: But what brought this up? And why now of all times?

Her voice carried a note of exasperated curiosity, mingled with a hint of concern as she waited for the inevitable chaos Meteria's curiosity tended to invite.

Meteria: No reason... Nom!

She casually took the last bite of her donut, chewing with exaggerated nonchalance. Once finished, she sat up straight, brushing the crumbs from her lap and the bed with quick, deliberate swipes of her hands. Then, she locked eyes with Alfia, her expression suddenly carrying a mischievous glint.

Meteria: No reason. I just happened to see her and Bell on a date yesterday.

*SNAP*

The sound was sharp and startling as the pen Alfia had been holding shattered under the pressure of her grip. Ink and fragments scattered across the desk and the open pages of her book. Her hand trembled slightly as she set what remained of the pen down, her voice cold and clipped.

Alfia: Pardon?

Meteria: *Smile*  Mhm! When I saw them on their date yesterday, I ran into them and had a little chat. She's such a lovely girl once you get to know her personally. Did you know she was once a-

She stopped mid-sentence, her words cut short by the abrupt sound of Alfia's chair scraping against the floor.

Alfia had stood up so fast her chair nearly tipped over. Her palms slammed onto the desk with a resounding thud, making the scattered pen fragments bounce slightly. Her piercing gaze bore into Meteria, her calm demeanor now replaced by a storm of barely contained fury.
