It was supposed to be like any other day for Bell. He had woken up early to the comforting sound of birds chirping outside his window, the gentle hum of the city stirring to life. The familiar aroma of breakfast wafted from the kitchen as Alfia prepared his usual morning meal, while Meteria hummed a soft tune, her voice like a warm blanket that made the manor feel even cozier.

After a hearty breakfast filled with Alfia's stern reminders to be cautious and Meteria's gentle encouragements, Bell had geared up for the dungeon. He strapped on his well-worn armor, slung his knife at his side, and tucked away a pouch of potions just in case. His mother and aunt saw him off at the door, their usual mix of protective concern and pride in their expressions.

Alfia: Don't push yourself too hard, Bell,.

She said with her usual firm tone, though there was an unmistakable softness in her eyes.

Meteria: And come back in time for dinner.

Meteria added with a cheerful smile, reaching out to smooth his hair as she always did.

Bell smiled back at them, waving as he headed off, his heart light and his determination steady.

Around him other members of the Hera Familia bid the rabbit goodbye as he headed off.

It was supposed to be a simple day. He'd explore the labyrinth, gain some experience, and return home in time to enjoy the rest of his routine, maybe even squeeze in a visit to the library or a chat with Ardee and the others.

But that did not happen.

"Is he okay now?!"

"Let me see him!"

"Hey! Would everyone keep their voice down? This is a hospital!"

The muffled sound of voices reached Bell, dragging him from the haze of unconsciousness. His eyelids felt heavy, but they fluttered open slowly. Blurry shapes sharpened into familiar forms, faces full of worry crowding around the room.

Bell: W-What's going on?

His voice came out weak and raspy, barely audible amidst the commotion. He tried to sit up, but his limbs felt like lead.

A nurse rushed to his side, steadying him gently.

"C-Careful! Not too fast now"

She said firmly, her hand bracing his shoulder.

Bell: W-What's going on... W-Where am I?

Confusion clouded his trembling voice as his crimson eyes darted around the sterile room. The worried faces around him only deepened his disorientation.

"First off, do you remember me?"

The nurse asked

Bell: S-Should I?

The room fell silent for a split second before gasps erupted.

"D-Do you not remember me?! I-It's me, Aiz!"
