.....................................................................................................................................
It had been a few hours since the first challenge of the Wargame concluded, with Hera claiming a decisive victory. Ever since the end of the match, the magic mirrors scattered throughout the city had vanished, giving both Hera and Zeus much-needed time to prepare for the next round.
Silvia: Say, Europa... Shouldn't someone be helping Hera-sama prepare right now? The next challenge is going to be a battle, isn't it?
Europa: No, the guidelines clearly state that during preparation, it's all up to the contestants themselves. No external help. But don't worry, we made sure Hera-sama had everything she might need before the Wargame even started.
Europa smiled with quiet confidence, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear as she glanced at the paperwork neatly arranged on her desk. The tension in the room remained low, a lull before the storm.
Suddenly, the door to Europa's office swung open.
Meteria and Aurelia stepped inside, both slightly winded as if they had come quickly, though not in alarm.
Meteria: We're back. Did we miss anything?
Europa: Nothing yet. Still quiet.
Meteria: *Sighs* Bell got a little impatient waiting around and started getting rowdy. Sorry about that.
She rubbed the back of her neck, looking more amused than apologetic.
Silvia: It's quite alright. Waiting has never been a strength of young one's.
Aurelia: Haruhime, too. She was starting to fidget more than usual. Oh and your sister's watching over them right now, I hope that's alright with you Silvia.
Her tone was light, but there was a hint of caution, as if she was testing Silvia's reaction.
Hearing that, Silvia raised a brow, her expression turning mildly confused.
Silvia: Why wouldn't it be? It's Cynthia's duty anyway.
She crossed her arms, tone matter-of-fact.
Just then, a soft hum filled the room as the magic mirrors conjured with arcanum reappeared. A swirl of light danced across its surface, signaling the start of the next stage.
And at that same moment, throughout the entire city, every mirror reignited in unison, ready to broadcast what came next.
Europa: Looks like it's about to start.
Galatea: *Sighs* That was a long wait... Are you going to bring Bell and Haruhime back here?
She spoke softly, glancing toward Aurelia and Meteria.
Meteria: *Nervous smile* I think it's best they sit this one out. The cooking challenge was one thing... But explaining why his grandparents are fighting? Yeah, I wouldn't even know where to begin.
She chuckled awkwardly, scratching her cheek as the weight of that truth settled in the room.
Aurelia: Haruhime just arrived in the city. There's no need to burden her with Orario's twisted divine games... At least not yet.
