'So is she really that bad?"I ask Trinity and Fera as we sit in the living room.Its been 2 months and Chris' wife is coming to visit.He went to pick her up from the airport cuz after my 3 months of being here she's finally coming back.Ion know how to feel,I want to meet her but we're basically sharing her husband.I feel like such a ho cuz even though he's keeping me here I'm getting comfortable with it.Whenever Chris walks in the room I get butterflies and I can't help but smile at him when he talks to me.Ion know if now that she's here if Chris will treat me the same or how long she's staying but if I can handle Fera I can handle her.
"So what's up?If her and Chris are married why does she let him keep us?"I ask them and Trinity shrugs."Chris gets lonely cuz she's never here,she takes long shopping trips in different countries.She brought me back something from India once." Trinity remembers smiling but I look at Fera and she's frowning."She doesn't even love Chris she's just in it for his money."Fera tells me and I shake my head."Chris knows it but doesn't want to admit it cuz they've known each other for like 15 years.He thinks history is enough to keep them together but since I've been here I've never even seen them kiss,he always sleeps on the couch when she comes."She explains and I'm surprised."Before you we're there other girls Fera?"I ask curiously."Well when I came here there was a girl but she left a couple months of me staying here."   "What happened did she escape?"I ask and she shakes her head."Her and Jasmine got close and she got her out."She explains and I'm confused."Who's Jasmine?"   "Chris' wife."She says in a duh tone."What's her last name?"I ask and she looks at me."Brown obviously."  "I mean before they got married."I clarify and she thinks."Its like Wilson or something.But Ion know cuz Ion talk to her like that."Fera says and I nod as we hear the door open.
Chris walks in carrying like a dozen bags and some of his guys walk in after him carrying more.He drops them and comes over to us and me and Trinity stand up.Fera stays seated and looks at the ground.Since she's keeping her baby she decided she's done with Chris and doesn't even talk to him but he hasn't noticed.
He hugs Trinity and when he comes to me,I lean in for a kiss cuz he kisses me every time he comes home but he puts his hands between us."We can't be doing all that while my wife's here ok."He tells me and I'm embarrassed."Fine Chris."I mumble and he looks behind him."Look don't be mad Ni..keep an open mind."He says and I'm confused but everything is clear when I see who I'm guessing is his wife walk in.She flips her hair out her face and we just stare at each other.I walk over to her and look closely cuz I might be seeing things."Jasmine?I" ask and she looks at Chris."Why didn't you tell me my sister was your new girl?"She asks but I just pull her into a hug and I'm crying.I haven't seen my sister in 10 years.She doesn't hug me back but instead she pulls away."Why are you crying?"She asks and I laugh a little wiping my face."I missed you!"I say reaching for another hug but she stops me."Stop hugging me damn." She says and I'm confused."When Chris said he had a surprise for me I thought he meant a new car but not this.But I can't say I'm surprised,Chris always goes for the sluts."She says looking from me to Fera and Fera sucks her teeth."Why are you talking like this Jasmine?"I ask crying out of sadness now but she just laughs and walks over to Trinity."Hey Trin me and you are having dinner later."She tells her and Trinity just nods.She walks into Chris' room.I just stand there sobbing and I know everybody is staring at me."How you got let her talk to you like that?"Fera asks but Ion answer."Imani.."Chris says but I run to my room and lock the door.I fall onto my bed and cry into the pillow I try to calm myself down cuz I feel like I'm having a panic attack.
I just stayed in my room until I got hungry.When I walk out Fera is sitting at the table and I make myself a sandwich then sit next to her."You done crying?"She asks me after long silence.I such my teeth and glare at her.Even though we're not friends I fuck with her a little more now."How you not know that that was your sister though?"She asks me laughing and I shrug."She's my step sister but we fell off like 10 years ago."I explain and she shakes her head."You shouldn't have let her talk to you like that even if she's your sister."    "I know but I was just so surprised she was never that bitchyI say thinking back and she chuckles.
I sit there eating and she lies on the couch taking up all of it.A couple minutes later Trinity and Jasmine walk in and Trinity is carrying a lot of bags."You can just take them to my room Trin."She instructs and of course Trinity goes.Jasmine walks in front of Fera blocking the TV."Move." Fera says not looking up."Excuse me Fera do you mind only taking up one seat?I know it'll be hard even when your sitting cuz I see you've been putting on weight but--"   "Ho what'd you say?"Fera says quickly jumping in her face."Look I just want to be comfortable in my home."She says smiling putting emphasis on the "my"."Your just a guest so if you would please get the fuck out of my face--"   "fuck outta here talking to me like that!"Fera yells and now I'm looking at them."You can talk to your sister any kinda way,you can play Chris,and you can even boss Trinity but you ain't gon run your mouth at me!"    "I said get the fuck out my face.Jasmine says pushing her down to the chair."I shake my head as Fera pops up and straight socks her in her face.If it was 10+ years ago I would have jumped in and helped my sister but not today.
I get a cup of juice in place of tea.I sip and watch them fight cuz you know that's none of my business.For someone who talks a lot of trash my sister can't fight for shit.As I watch Fera beat her ass Chris walks in and separates them."Why you just watching this shit Ni?"He asks holding Fera back as Jasmine straightens herelf.I wave my cup in an obvious way and roll my eyes."Get the fuck away from me Chris!"Fera yells but Chris doesn't listen."I want her out Chris!Out of my house!"Jasmine tells Chris but he just holds his head and I see him getting red.They continue screaming and I continue sipping and all of sudden he screams."Will y'all shut up!"He looks angry and you better believe they quiet down."Go to your room Fera."He demands and she walks away."I'm leaving Chris."Jasmine says scrolling through her phone."What tonight?You don't want to stay?"He asks and she just walks away.He looks at me before following her.
