Fill my heart with the love resting in your palms
2am we meet again
and under the same circumstances?
Oh we really shouldn't make a habit of this
But I glimpsed the stars -
their beauty could match the universe
however I longed to catch the sweet, delicate caress
of each glimmering dream to call it my own,
Alas,
I could not quite reach
Those three simple words you whispered
worth more than a million unspoken,
brimming my heart with the love in my palms,
Oh how I pray I don't drop it
For the fragility could not survive
the immense pressure of the universe
but only the light caress of the stars
