Opening your eyes again, you blink a few more times as you adjusted to the dim light surrounding you.

When you notice you are alone, you slowly straighten yourself as you look to your left and right.

You were indeed alone in the helicopter.

Are they waiting for you to wake up before leaving?

Your eyes widen at your own question as you quickly unbuckle yourself from the safety belt and then get up a little bit too fast for your body's liking, which makes you immediately sit again to adjust your blood.

Ughh. Sometimes you forget how fragile your body actually is when it's not filled with the adrenaline rush you usually get each time you were being deployed.

Most of the time you keep asking yourself how you manage to survive all the shit that has been thrown at you.

When you feel better after some time passes, you get up again. Carefully this time. Then walk out of the vehicle you come to realise is a chopper, only to see it was not the familiar environment of where the tunnel of Czech would be.

Looking around to map where you are, you see the uniform of Task Force 141 and decide to approach them.

If anything, only them, the one you know to ask about.

It was only a few steps away when Ghost turned around and met your gaze.

And maybe your head is still playing tricks on you because Ghost did not just usher you to come closer with a wave? And let's not forget how soft and gentle his body language is when he does so!?

Though, you obeyed his command and took hesitant steps toward him.

When you were only a step away, his hand reached out and wrapped around your back as he faced the others again.

"The star of the show has been woken up."

You look up at him funny. Are you high, or is he?

A suppressed laughter from none other than Soap and Roach made you snap at them with a glare. Complete with Gaz standing near them, who's also trying to hold himself from laughing.

Safe for Price, the old man was kind enough to save you from further embarrassment.

"(Y/N), please meet your former first commander."

You turned to look at Price, confusion on your face at his words.

When suddenly, an old voice you never thought you would hear again greets you not too far in front of you.

It's really your very first commander.

Your eyes widen in disbelief.

"It's nice to meet you again, Private." The man greeted with a gentle smile on his face. Even if you couldn't believe your eyes, his teasing couldn't be mistaken for others.

You quickly let go of Ghost's hand still around your back; you don't notice it even staying there for so long. All you can think about is getting out from whatever is holding you to take steps closer to your former superior.

Stopping two feet away from him, you salute him. "Private (Y/N) (L/N), ready to report, sir."

(please don't hate me, idk shit abt the real deal T-T forgive me.)

The older man laughs it off as he gestures for you to come and give him a hug. You broke the formality in an instant and went to hug the very first person that really cared for your well-being when you first joined the military.
