⚠️: Attempt of SA, Drugging.
It was the night of the party.
You stood in front of your vanity, phone pressed between your shoulder and ear as you mindlessly adjusted the hem of your outfit."Carry your taser, don't drink anything you didn't see poured, stay with Daisuke—"
"Yeah, yeah, Mom, I know."
You sighed, checking your reflection. "I'll be fine.""I'm serious,"
she pressed, voice firm.
"You know how parties can get. And make sure your boyfriend—""Blah, blah, I got it,"
you cut in, grinning despite yourself.
"I love you, but I really have to get ready."She sighed on the other end, the kind that said I swear you don't listen,
but she relented.
"Fine. Just be safe, okay?""I will. Love you."
"Love you too."
You hung up, setting your phone down with a soft exhale.
You knew she meant well, but this wasn't your first night out.
Still, her words lingered in the back of your mind as you went back to getting ready. The music from your speaker played softly as you smoothed your hands over your outfit, making sure everything was in place.
The party was in a hour.Glancing at the clock, you knew you should be finishing up, but something in your chest twisted—not exactly nerves, but close.
You didn't want to go.
Not really. But you'd promised Daisuke, and backing out now would only make things worse.
Sighing, you shook off the feeling and reached for your makeup, trying to focus on something else. It's just one night.
You could deal with it.
You and Daisuke had agreed on matching costumes (of your choice)
for the party."You look good,"
he murmured, stepping back to admire you."I know. But so do you."
He scoffed but couldn't hide the pleased glint in his eyes. With the final adjustments made, you grabbed your phone, snapping a quick picture of you.
No matter what the night held, at least you were facing it together.
Before heading out, you made a quick detour to the kitchen. You needed a little something to take the edge off—just a single shot to brace yourself for the night ahead. Daisuke's friends were fucking unbearable, and huge social settings weren't exactly your favorite.
You grabbed a bottle from the cabinet, pouring yourself a quick shot and downing it in one smooth motion.
The burn was sharp but welcome, settling in your stomach as you exhaled slowly. Daisuke leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, watching you with amusement."Nervous?"
he teased."More like preparing myself."
You winced, setting the glass down.He walked over, resting a hand on your lower back.
"You know we don't have to go."You glanced up at him, appreciating the offer but shaking your head.
"Nah, I said I'd go. I'll be fine."
