"YOU PROMISED!"

A sob was heard.

"YOU PROMISED WE'LL BE BY EACH OTHER SIDE! YOU PROMISED! WHY! WHY?! WHY YOU OUT OF EVERYONE! WE BOTH PROMISED EACH OTHER!"

"I'm sorry, Colle. This has to be done. It's the only way."

"YOU.. YOU PROMISED SEER!!!" The red haired man yells as the once happy, blue haired, man that's now covered in Darkness. Heck, his whole entire identity changed.

He was no Blue Steve anymore, he's.. Nothing but Darkness.. Like the void.. His once beautiful rainbow wings were now nothing but pale of those once colorful colors and black. All the light in his eyes was gone, drained, leaving nothing but Darkness. Even his once light blue eyes were dark and pale. His once adventurous clothing was hidden by the dark gray cloak he wore.

He wasn't sure if he was talking to Seer anymore. Everything he knew about Seer wasn't seen on this new person. Not even a glimpse of light, happiness, or heroic was seen on him. Nothing.

The heavy weight of being the 2nd Hero was hard enough, facing his friend was even harder for him. The Rainbow Crystal had separated from Seer previously, rejecting him and his ideals of stopping the Demon Steves. Seer's main goal was to protect the Steves and stop the Demon Steves from arising from the World Below, but something has happened to cause Seer to become... This..

And now.. Colle was the one bonded with the Rainbow Crystal. It has chosen him. And with the powers Galaxy Steve provided to him, an effort to help him without being there physically, he's extremely powerful to one eye. But not him.. Oh no, not him, he knows his weakness and one of them, an important one, is fighting his friend. He can't bear on hurting his friend, someone extremely close to him.

But he can't bear to see Seer destroy his friends, home, kingdom.. Just like what he did to the Biome Steves..

"Colle, there's a reason why I created the Darkness." "Seer" floated down to level with Colle who's standing on one of the floating debris. "After Dread Steve was destroyed, the balance of good and evil became unbalanced. The Demon Steves arose to try and fix the balance again," He paused as he watched Colle struggle with internal thoughts, "The Darkness I created, was the key to our problems. It rebalanced good and evil, it stopped the Demon Steves from rising out from the World Below, and it can bring eternal peace to all of us."

Colle grasps the hammer of Genesis Steve tightly. Were those just lies or the truth? He didn't know. He didn't want to hear his soft soothing voice. He didn't want him to be using Seer's voice to convince him.

"You and I both know that we don't want this."

He's not Seer. The memories of Seer flashed in his head.

"It doesn't have to be this way."

That's not Seer. All those precious memories of him and himself, with his other friends.

"You and I can still be together."

He had to accept the truth. All those precious moments Seer and himself spent together..

"Join me, Colle. The Darkness will welcome you with open arms. I, will welcome you with open arms. Our promise wouldn't have to break, we can still be together." He softly smiles, but Colle knew better.

Seer's gone.

"Stop." Colle finally spoke out in the eerie silence. "Stop. You aren't him, you aren't Seer. Stop pretending you're him." He glares at him, who was once the Seer he knew so well of, but now has changed for the worse.

"But I am him."

"No you're not."

"I am-"

"NO YOU'RE NOT!" He snaps, shaking his head as anger consumes him, "STOP SAYING YOU'RE HIM! SHUT UP! YOU'RE NOT SEER! SEER WOULD NEVER DO THIS!!" Tears were already flowing down his face again, clouding his vision a bit.

"I truly believed that you'd join my side. We could've been together, side by side, like old times.." He sighed as he took a step forward. Immediately, Colle takes a step back away from him, clenching the hammer tightly and close to himself as he keeps his guard up.

"Seer" chuckles, ".. But you're right. Seer's gone." He smiles eerily at him. "He's. Gone."

He summoned a scythe and launched himself unexpectedly at Colle who barely managed to block the attack with the hammer. His puffy eyes are met with the dark pale eyes of Seer's.

"The only one who's here is just Void. And one of us, is going to be making it out, alive." He chuckles eerily.
