"Girls are scary."

That's a sentiment that Inukawa has heard plenty of, and it's one that he genuinely disagrees with. Girls are not as complicated as people make them out to be, in his opinion. Tome, for example, is not hard to decipher at all. Sure, she's a little eccentric and is obsessed with aliens, but that's pretty much it.

The same can be said for Junko. She's not hard to understand whatsoever, though his buddies like to claim that that's because they grew up together and that she acts more masculine. So what? Masculine interests or not, it doesn't mean that she's not like other girls. It just means that she has a different taste in hobbies, that's all.

But, he does have a little bit of a dilemma. What he's inexperienced with isn't exactly with girls, but it's with romance. He and Junko have gotten closer since that fateful day, but with that comes stronger feelings. He wants to take her on a date of some kind, but he's not entirely sure what to do. It doesn't need to be too fancy, but... what?

He lays on his bed, drumming his fingers along his thigh. "What to do... what to do," he mutters. Then, an idea comes into his mind. He reaches for his phone and pulls his contact list up.

Hey, you and Anaya go on dates all the time right?

Mob

They're not dates... We're just friends.

Save that for someone that'll believe it, Mob

Anyway, I needed some advice. I wanted to ask Junko-chan out on a date, but I don't know where to take her out

Mob

Tawamure-san likes baseball, doesn't she?

Maybe you could take her to the batting cages.

You know who you're talking to, right? I already got knocked out by a baseball. I don't want to get hit again

Mob

Ok.

Maybe something safe. Does she like any other sports?

She's been diehard for baseball for as long as I can remember.

Mob

What about mini golf? You won't get knocked out with that.

At least, I don't think you will.

Wait a minute... that's actually really smart! A huge grin splits onto his face and he hurriedly texts back.

You're a damn genius, Mob! I'm gonna start calling you the love guru

Mob

Please don't.

He texts Junko, asking her if she would like to join him for some mini golf over the weekend. To his delight, she immediately accepts and even expresses excitement over going! But then it dawns on him... that he forgot to mention that it was a date, and not just a casual hangout between friends.

Dammit.

Despite his flub, he still is very excited to see her. He puts extra effort into his appearance, making sure that not a single hair is out of place. He also puts on a nice jacket, some jeans, and some unscuffed sneakers. He stares at himself in the mirror before licking his thumb and soothing one of his round eyebrows. He strikes a pose.
