Chapter 19
~Maya Marlowe~
This sex thing... I liked it. A lot. Leave it to Destani to teach me the ropes and I liked learning. I had a feeling that she liked it as much as I did.
"I've been here for quite some time," Destani pointed out."I think church is finished already. My parents might be worried."
I guess that I must've not looked very happy because she smirked,"What's wrong, babe?"
"Why do you have to go? We can't even be affectionate at school and we hardly hang out after school," I said, honestly."Please stay for a little while longer." I pulled her naked body closer to mine.
She smiled,"Okay, I'll stay but only because you are begging." She kissed me deeply and pulled away abruptly, causing me to frown.
"Maya, you're cute when you pout," she giggled, crawling on top of me. I liked the feeling of having my bare chest on hers.
"T-thank you," I stuttered because of our closeness. My cheeks flushed when she figured out the source of my nervousness.
It was weird since we were just intimate not to long ago but I'm nervous now. It was different since I was in ecstasy so I wasn't thinking about when we were... you know.
Now I'm fully aware that I'm naked in front of Destani. I wasn't used to it.
She cupped my chin,"What's wrong?" she teased in a sultry tone. She licked her lips. I didn't know why but that was just one of things she did with her mouth that got me aroused.
I pushed her off of me. I was nervous so she couldn't really blame me,"Sorry..."
I heard a faint slam. It wasn't from inside the house so I immediately knew it was my father slamming the door of his truck.
"That's my father, Destani, get dressed," I said, quickly.
I didn't even have time to admire her nude body as she scrambled to put on the clothes I gave her because her church dress was wet.
I also got dressed at a quick pace because I was going to walk her home. The problem was that it was still raining outside. I grabbed a hoodie and gave it to Destani.
Wisconsin's weather has been getting more chilly as winter approaches. She was surely going to catch a cold if I didn't give her some sort of protection from the rain.
"Stay here, Maya," she said sternly.
I didn't even have to say to her that I was going to walk her home so how could she have known?
"I want to walk you home and I'm not talking no for a response," I said."We can leave out my window."
"Just stay here, please, I worry about you walking back to your house," she admitted.
I gave her a pair of my shoes since she came here in heels and it was going to be difficult to walk back with them on.
"Don't worry about me, I'll be fine."
She didn't protest any longer so I open the window of my bedroom and helped her out. My father must have already been in the house because I didn't see him outside by his truck. I knew I was going to get in trouble but I didn't think the punishment would be serious so I didn't contemplate it any further.
I hopped out of the window immediately notice how cold the weather was. We both had on hoodies but it was absolutely freezing because of the rain and the winds that were blowing at incredible speed.
My father didn't own an umbrella so I didn't even suggest getting one.
I took her hand in mine and then we began running to her home. There weren't much cars out and I figured it was because of the heavy rains I had a feeling that it was going to be raining a lot today.
Even though we were running I still took time to notice how the wind was blowing the trees causing them to sway back and forth. It looked like there was going to be a storm.
Since there were so few cars out we didn't bother looking left and right for cars.
We shortened the distance from my home to Destani's because of the the pace we were running at. We were still wet from the rain because that was unavoidable.
"My parents are home," she said."They'll punishment for leaving the church the way that I did." I was worried about her, of course, but I didn't think they will make such a big deal of it; she is their daughter and they should be happy that she is safe.
"Maya! Destani!" someone's called out but was drowned out in the rain. We looked over at the source and it was Callum.
He had an umbrella but he was still a little wet from the rain.
"I was calling you guys but you couldn't hear me, I guess," he said. He held the umbrella over us."I was chasing you guys from your house, Maya."
"I apologize," I said."I was just walking Destani home."
"Lets go on my porch so we can get out of this rain," Destani suggested. Callum and I agreed and we all went to the protection of the porch.
I took Destani into my arms to warm her up even though I was wet too.
"You guys are cute together," Callum commented. I didn't know what to say but Destani thanked him. Callum doesn't compliment me much. I smiled.
"Baby, I'm going to go inside and face my family now," Destani said. I nodded. I hoped that her family wouldn't give her a hard time after what they did to her.
"Bye, Destani," I said. She took my cheeks in her hands and crashed her lips onto mine. We kissed as if we were saying goodbye forever. I couldn't pinpoint why it felt like that but I didn't comment on the strange feeling.
"Bye Callum," she said. He gave her a hug and we left before she rung the doorbell. I wouldn't want to encounter her mother at the door after the disagreement we all had.
Callum held his umbrella over both of us but it was no use. I was freezing. We began running to limit the amount of time we would be outside. I was definitely going to catch a cold. The weather is going to be even worse in a matter of weeks really.
"Maya, I met a girl," Callum said as we ran. I was out of breath so I didn't answer and he took it as initiative to continue."She's beautiful, intelligent, and funny. I think she likes me."
"Where'd you meet her?"
"I snuck out when my parents left to some mysterious location," Callum said, breathing heavily."She was lingering outside of the store we went to. She said she liked my hair and we just started talking."We didn't look both ways before crossing roads just like I was with Destani. That was the first mistake. Callum was somewhat ahead of me so I was looking after him.
The sound of rain hitting the concrete made me concentrate on that specific sound and it drowned out all the noise in the background. I should've been paying more attention while it was raining heavily out here and I was crossing the streets carelessly with Callum.
I should've been looking; I would've saw the car before it had to time to do any damage. All I saw were it's bright headlights before everything turned black.
