"are you sure baby you don't have to go" my mom said as she was standing in my door way watching me put the final touches on my outfit "i mean i ain't staying long im finna hear him out drop off my gift and leave
he did send me something for my birthday it would be rude not to return the gesture" she huffed "fine but just know i don't have work i'll be home all day i'll come get you if you need me to"
i nodded "i know thank you mom"
*time jump*
it's exactly sunday and i talked to Ms.Amber and let her know a tiny bit of what's going on not in detail but i let her know me and Jordan aren't really cool right now or talking but he asked me to come to his event that she was having for him
and i knew if i asked him he would lie about the day just to get me alone to just talk and to be honest i don't think im ready for a one on one quite yet so i asked her when the party was and what time so i could come talk to a few people and leave my gift
she understood completely i guess Jordan telling her a tiny bit what happened also so she told me the day and said she would even text me when people started to show so i wouldn't be there alone
so now im here with my gift bag in hand standing outside of their front door regretting my decision i don't know who's here or how im really feeling so i dont want him to say the wrong thing and have me lash out
but im here and already spent a couple hundred for his gifts so fuck it i took a deep breath before opening the door to hear lots of people in the small house but i just said my hellos to the people in the living room before finding ms.amber
who was in the kitchen with a cup of wine talking to her friends and sister Jordan's aunts "hey mom" i said behind one of her friends making her look her towards me before smiling from ear to ear
"oh my goodness my baby i didn't think you were coming" i laughed and gave her a hug "me either" i said giving her a awkward chuckle "well damn stranger where you been" i looked up to Jordan's aunt and said
"me and Jordan kinda got into it and words were exchanged but i just came to give him his gifts and leave to be honest" they looked taken back "your not staying" i shook my head "we exchanged a lot of bad words
so i don't think its best for our first talk since that be in front of people let alone his whole family i respect every single last one of you lady to much for that so do you know where he is so i can be on my way"
they nodded looking very sorry but im all good "he's outside playing touch football with his friends and cousins" i nodded and walked to the back door to see him and a lot of people in the backyard
and he was indeed playing football so i sat on the back porch step until he noticed me and that didnt take long so he tapped his friends in the game and came over towards me
"i didnt think you was coming" i sighed "me either but im not staying long I just came to drop off my gifts and leave" he looks looked at me with sad eyes "so we ain't finna talk about what happened"
i shook my head "not today i just came to return your generosity so you wanna take a look at your gifts before i go" he nodded and grabbed the bags and helped me up as we went into the house and into the living room where everybody migrated
"open this one first" he nodded opening the biggest bag filled with his favorite treats,boxers,beaters,and a screen protector because its a running joke about how much he breaks his phone
then in the next bag was fill with Under armor and things i remover him want like compression shirts,loose shorts,hoodies,and hair stuff like a bonnet,durag,and hair oil
then the last bag held three pairs of shoes and on top sat his new fitted cap i hat him some new balance,jordan 1's and a pair of Nike Spikes that are his favorite color and the fitted said his track nick name
"damn you went all out all i got you was some shoes and a necklace you ain't have to do all that" i nodded "i'm not done open up the New balance box" he made a face but opened it
to reveal a GLD chain he's been wanting for months now it was a good single link chain with diamonds all around it "damnn girl what can i do to thank you"
i shook my head "nothing but i do hope you enjoy all the gifts but i should be going" he shook his head grabbed my arm and whispered "nah just stay for a little please everybody missed you and i know you ain't eat yet i know you"
i rolled my eyes "i don't think that's good idea our break ain't over and im not in a talking mood" "we ain't gotta talk we can just have fun with our friends how we use to no strings attached please just stay"
i rolled my eyes and said "fine but let me call my momma and let her know im staying she ain't your biggest cheerleader right now" he nodded "i deserve that but ight bet ill be out in the back and if your not out there in 5 im coming to get you"
