Jenna was in her room, surrounded by crumpled clothes and stacks of books that seemed to multiply every time she turned around. She hummed softly to herself, trying to make cleaning feel a little less like a chore. That's when her phone started ringing, its familiar tone cutting through the quiet of her room. She glanced at the screen and her heart skipped a beat as Arias' name lit up.
With a grin spreading across her face, she picked up the phone. "Hey, Arias" she greeted, her voice bubbling with warmth. "Hey, Jenna" he replied, his tone was as bright. "I was calling to see if you're busy tonight?"She paused, glancing around at her still-messy room, then shook off the thought. "No, I'm not busy. Why, what's up?
Arias' smile looking at his phone, filled with excitement. "I want to cook dinner for you tonight. So be ready around six, and dress comfortable. We're watching a movie too."Jenna's smile widened. Her heart fluttered at the thought of spending the evening with him. "Okay, I'd like that," she said, her enthusiasm bubbling over. Jenna loved the idea of a simple date night in with Arias
"Alright be ready by 6 I'm come get you" he said Jenna laugh at the thought out Arias coming from next door to get her "what's funny?" he said smiling "you know I could walk next door by myself" she said "I know but I want to come get you" he said chuckling They chatted for a few more minutes, talking about their favorite movies and what food he might make.
Although he kept teasing her by not revealing his secret recipe. As they hung up, Jenna felt a giddy warmth spread through her. After a flurry of cleaning that felt more like a quick whirlwind than a thorough tidy-up, she changed into a soft, cozy sweater and a pair of leggings. The clock ticked down, and with each passing minute, her anticipation grew.
Jenna looked at the time and noticed it was already 4 "shit" she said to herself she ran into the bathroom and started the shower she knew how long it would take her to get ready, so she need to get ready now. She jumped in the shower and washed herself after an hour she got out, she got her self dressed keeping it simple and comfortable. As she was doing her hair a little she looked over at the clock it read 5:30 she was proud of herself being ready before 6 she waited in her living room for Arias
When six o'clock arrived, Jenna heard a knock on her door. Her heart raced as she opened it to find Arias standing there, a container of food in one hand and a mischievous grin on his face. he had pulled her favorite flower from his back she started to smile "Wow, you really went all out!" she laughed, stepping outside. As he stepped aside, he closed her door and they walked to his apartment and the minute he opened his door, the delicious aroma of homemade pasta filled the room, sending her senses into overdrive.
"It smell so good in here" she said walked into the apartment she stopped in her tracks as she seen the lay of everything Arias went all out in making this night special. Arias had plates on the coffee table and pillows on the floor near the tv with candles and wine glasses he had roses on the floor Jenna felt so special in that moment "this beautiful Arias" she said smiling at him he lead her to the table
They settled on the floor with a blanket spread between them, plates of steaming pasta in hand. Between bites, they exchanged playful banter and shared stories, laughter filling the room. The movie played softly in the background, but Jenna found it hard to focus on the screen. Aria's presence, the warmth of his laughter, and the spark in his eyes drew her in more than any film ever could.
As the credits rolled on the movie, Jenna leaned back against the couch, feeling the contentment wash over her. "This was the best night, Arias. Thank you," she said sincerely, her eyes glimmering under the soft light.Arias smiled, "I'm glad you liked it. We should do this more often." Jenna nodded in agreement, feeling like this was just the beginning of something beautiful. Those simple moments, filled with food, laughter, and the comfort of each other's company, promised to become memories she would cherish forever
