Ch4 Ep 4 | My beloved way of life |

*From the previous chapter and that beautiful wedding scene of Ruten and Absolia, from the last time with that explosion in the background of the city... The entire scene of the city has changed, from being a beautiful and peaceful place, it has now turned into a ruined, chaotic battlefield for yet another senseless war between humans and Pokémon... And as this grim scene unfolded, the focus shifted to that café that once represented warmth, calm, and relaxation, now closed, barricaded, where we find those two lovers taking refuge inside, peeking through the blinds at the dangerous world outside*

-Absolia: "I can't believe this is happening... Right now, of all times in my life..."

-Ruten: "All of this is so sudden... The city... Our home... Why did the humans attack so suddenly?"

-Absolia: "To think that this... is all that's left of our story together..."

*The situation in the city looked dire, so much violence without reason, and the couple was deeply worried. It became clear that the explosion we witnessed had destroyed a large part of the city, and seemingly, also the home where they had built a life together. With sadness, Absolia held up the only remaining proof of their love— a wedding photo, the very picture of their kiss, with that explosion in the background, the only evidence left illustrating their love. She held the photo anxiously while Ruten gently placed his hands over hers*

-Ruten: "Don't worry, my love... I know everything will be okay. The humans had never shown signs of war... unless they found... a reason..."

-Absolia: "As long as we're together, I know everything will be fine. You're all that matters to me..."

-Ruten: "Yeah... Everything will be fine..."

*As Ruten managed to calm and comfort Absolia, while mentioning the possibility of a reason behind this war, she held him tightly, not letting go in that moment, drawing strength from him. Meanwhile, he found himself lost in thought about that reason... which led him to remember the thief in their home and the discussion about a certain object when they thought no one else was listening...*

*Some time passed as they remained in each other's embrace, and more days went by as they continued to take shelter in that place... The war showed no signs of stopping... We return to a scene where Ruten placed a kiss on Absolia's forehead while holding her hands*

-Ruten: "Wait for me here while I go out to get supplies... I'll see if I can recover anything from the house."

-Absolia: "Be careful, okay? If I went with you, it would be much easier."

-Ruten: "Relax, relax... I've explored more dangerous places. You stay here and protect the only safe place we have left, If the humans find out about your powers they won't stop hunting you, let me handle this..."

*Despite Absolia's concern, Ruten carried enough optimism for the both of them, assuring her that he would be fine out there. Slowly, he released her hands and exited through the back door of the café...*

*Ruten began sneaking through the streets, gunfire all around, as if he were exploring ancient ruins, now wary of every danger. A stealth mission, watching battalions of humans move throughout the city. As he got closer to their home... he noticed that the ruins of their house were surrounded by human soldiers, Ruten decided to approach from the side... A guard stood nearby, but by throwing a stone to the ground to create a distraction, Ruten managed to sneak behind him, knocking him unconscious with a swift strike of his typical Braixen stick—though his was made of metal. This allowed him to slip past unnoticed and enter the house through a window*
