In the time between first and second practice, I give them a brief introduction of where the wind could cause a problem and how they can see that in the trees.
We go through more strategy's and exchange our impressions with the drivers, after two more long hours of strategy stuff I leave the call and lay down in bed feeling very exhausted.

I was awakened again by a nurse that brought my my dinner. "I am so very sorry, but u have to insist that you eat."
"I will, thank you!" She leaves again and I look unter the metal thing that covers my food. It was one of these coconut flavored soups that you can order in an Asian restaurant. It had chicken, mushrooms, tomato's and lots of other ingredients in it. I also got a little handwritten note next to it. I hope it tastes well, I told the restaurant what you usually like in it. I would have loved to dine with you but I am being held back by the other strategists.
I eat my food and text Charles that it was very tasty and I will now sleep.

I change into my sleeping cloths and as soon as I lay down again, I pass out into the world of dreams.

I wake up around 10 and join the call after eating a bit.
We go through strategies once again und after two more hours FP3 starts. It goes well and AGAIN more strategies, especially about the wind because it got even stronger.
I take my time in a separate call with two more engineers and ask them all of the necessary questions about how you would be able to steer the car with a certain strength of wind coming from the side.
We speak for about 1.5 hours and have figured out a way that you could turn the wind into an advantage.
We join the others again and I explain the concept we have created about how you could steer the car in a way that it doesn't create a disadvantage.
The explaining and incoming questions about it all takes again one more hour and then we are set to do an extraordinary quali.

I watch it all with a very tensed up body.
Both of them get into Q3 but this one doesn't go as well as the other ones.
Charles only gets to P5 on his last run and is being set back by Lando by one place.

You could feel and definitely see Charles' sadness about qualifying like this. He disappears into the garage and isn't seen again in live tv.
I don't see him until the strategy conference we have at 7 pm. And I don't have to repeat myself again, because everyone knows what we did there until 9 pm.

I was told I would be picked up by Charles around 9-10 am and that the rest of the day would get clear.

I once again go to bed exhausted and am not awakened by someone else but I woke up by myself this time.
It was about 8:50 and I decided to change already into my outfit of the day. A skirt and a tucked in Ferrari shirt and a Ferrari cap.

Charles comes in my room around 9:15. He greets me lovingly and guides me outside to his car.
We drive for about 20 minutes and he parks on a special parking lot, only for staff and drivers. The spots for the drivers are a bit separat for the others and they are all marked for each driver.

Charles shows me around the paddock and I get to meet the drivers again for a first time because it is not like I remember them.
